In this list I am selecting the most elegant or artistic batsmen ever to average above 50 in test cricket.

1.Denis Compton
2.Greg Chappell
3.Brian Lara
4.Gary Sobers
5.Graeme Pollock
6.Kumar Sangakaara
7.Rahul Dravid

I feel although geniuses as batsmen Viv Richards,Tendulkar,Bradman,Weekes,Walcott.Gavaskar,Miandad,Border,Kallis,Ponting,Steve Waugh,Hayden,Younus Khan etc were not so elegant or stylish.Infact apart from Compton every listed batsmen was not as stlsih as the top 10 stylists who all averaged less than 50.Does this imply that to accumulate runs or records one has to sacrifice style and grace?Worrel,Zaheer,Gower,Azhar and Worrell were more stylish than any batsmen who averaged above 50.Vishy and Azhar were more stylish than Dravid ,Tendulkar or Gavaskar , Zaheer and Majid were more elegant than Inzamam.Miandad,Younus Khan and Mohammad Younus while Frank Worrell and Rowe were more graceful than Viv,Lara,Weekes or Sobers.

Among those I saw bat, I find Lara , Dravid( although he was frustrating at times because of tuk tuk) and Sanga very stylish to watch.

I would have named KP or VVS if the parameter set wasn't a batting avg of 50+.

Kallis was boring( flair wise only) and Sachin was entertaining but not stylish or elegant. Ponting had crispiness but not sure how would I relate that with elegance and stylishness.

Jayawardene was elegant too but I think he also doesnt avg 50.

very good reply sir.good evaluation. How would you rank inzamam as a stylist?

There is definitely a case for the inclusion of Yousuf. I didn't ever see a more elegant batsmen. Sanga was also incredibly stylish. Below an average of 50 it's Saeed Anwar for me, ridiculously aesthetic.

Sangakara for me. Lara's bat lift and trigger movements made him a bit ugly for me . Although his strokes were eye catching. Also don't see where OP has got the idea that Dravid was a stylish player. He was more known for his patience than his stroke making ability.

MoYo and Saeed Anwar. Laxman on his day also looked elegant.
