Who will be the left-arm chinaman bowler to play for Pakistan Cricket Team: Faisal Akram vs Sufiyan Muqeem?

Everyone knows how difficult it is for a batsman to play left arm chinaman bowlers (examples like Kuldeep Yadav, Tabraiz Shamsi, Noor Ahmad, etc).

I looked at the stats for both Faisal Akram and Sufiyan Muqeem. Honestly both have similar economy rates but the former seems to have played FC Cricket vs the latter who has played some T20is like the PSL.

Moreover, Faisal Akram also has had 5w hauls in FC Cricket. I wonder which one of these are best suited to play for our Senior team in future. Whoever it is hopefully he is drafted sooner than later just to strengthen our spin bowling along with Abrar.

Sufiyan also played the ACC Emerging Asia cup where he performed well vs India
And also the top two Final Teams (India/SA) of this World Cup have Chinaman bowlers. They have taken important wickets during the middle overs. What more proof does PCB need to prepare one for our teams future?

Both of them are equally capable. Faisal akram has more experience than sufyan atm though. But I think Sufyan can do better than faisal in T20s especially.

Both of them are very raw and inexperienced. Not fair to judge them at this point.

Doesn't change the fact that our acc team mollywops our current team. That's what happenes when you play azam and shadab and chacha
I don't know about that. You're forgetting that Azam, Shadab and Chacha are domestic bullies.

The ACC team is also made of Pakistani players. Most of whom are likelyt as mentally weak and timid as the current crop.

Still, I would rather see some new faces than the faces of failure.

We only have a few months to go before Champions Trophy. As this major surgery is happening (according to Naqvi Sahab) its a good time to strengthen our spin bowling department in addition to the weak middle order. I hope they realize this sooner than later else get ready to be humiliated again. (Imagine if CT happens in our own backyard)

Naw, their not bullying these boys

He is one of the few genuine spinners going around in domestic circuit. If PCB are really serious about investing and grooming a proper spinner, he should definitely be the one. Could be our Kuldeep Jadav.

There is also:
- Usman Tariq - but I have doubts about his action.

- Umer khan - Whatever happened to him

- Mehran Mumtaz - bowls too quick for a spinner but good option for ODI and T20

Not sure what PCB sees in Mubasir Khan. He neither impressed me with his bowling nor his batting.

By “he” I meant Faisal Akram

A small correction:

PSL isn't "t20i"

The t20is Sufiyan Muqeem played were the matches played in the Asian Games.

I think sufiyan could be a very good option in white ball cricket, he bowls a bit quicker with flatter trajectory so would be difficult to pick early.

I prefer Faizal Akram tbh,
seems to give the ball better flight and gets more turn and drift
Sufiyan is ok, but bowls too flat for my liking

But Faisal is too predictable with his conventional leg breaks. He doesnt try googlies which is a down side of his bowling.

Sufyan Muqeem doesn’t look healthy

Faisal Akram doesn’t look hungry (lacks intensity)

Faisal Akram's chinaman delivery, which spins into the right-hander, has more turns a lot more compared to Sufiyan's, making his bowling less predictable. This variation makes him a greater asset in ODIs, particularly if he can slightly increase his pace to enhance effectiveness.

First impressions of both of these guys have been fantastic. Sufiyan was more impressive because he played against a strong Australian side and he excelled there. Faisal has had a great debut as well.

Certainly, both of them should be kept with the team now for white-ball.

Early days but faisal seems nervous when batters attack him while sufiyan seems to have better temperament

I just hope they develop some batting to be a good number 9/10.

Their is definitely promise with them. They need persist with playing some domestic cricket.

So Sufiyan finally got a chance, and he justified his selection by performing well. Wish they had tried him in CT, results might have been slightly better. Woh kehte hain "Dair aaye durust aaye"

Sufiyan has established himself to be a good choice in all conditions.. usually Asian spinners struggle in SENA but sufiyan has had a good time so far in number of games he got to play... He should be playing more games though

Given the success of left-arm wrist spinners like Shamsi, Kuldeep, and Noor Ahmed, Sufiyan is a must-pick in T20s and ODIs. He has consistently taken wickets, and batsmen are struggling to read him. At this point, there is no competition between Abrar and Sufiyan—Sufiyan is miles ahead and should be backed with a long run. He shouldn’t be dropped after just one or two bad games. He was the only positive from the NZ series

For the Asia Cup / T20 WC you can play both because it will be played in SL
