Who can Fawad realistically replace in the current Pakistan side?

Seems most players seem to be settling in so his chances of making a comeback looking remoter by the day?

our judgement really gets clouded cause we hardly play any test cricket.

Babar, Asad and Inam are yet to prove they can play consistently well.

He is not in the plans at all, to be honest, they are hoping one of the batsmen performs in England and enters the squad ahead of Fawad Alam.... so that he cements his place... Fawad has been overtaken by these names for this precise reason. I recall what Asim Kamal said 'They groom who they wanna groom, a batsman can fail for 11 test matches but still be called as the next Younis Khan' - be adjusted here and there just so that he can improve his average and make the management's decision look like the correct one. Fawad should move to England, the intentions and the words don't match for our selection committee

Fawad is in our plans, we just need to try these names as well... Inzamam's words every other time. He won't do it we should accept this and move on. The intention was always there to sideline Fawad completely.

This...Fawad failed in one game was dropped. Azhar, Asad, Babar had failed a lot, but did not get dropped. Inam also wont be dropped, even if he fails the next 5 innings.

And then Inzamam complains the media goes after him, or you can't make any right selection if you go according to what our media says, playing the victim card when its clear he is at the helm of a decision... the team is doing well, we didn't lose, he knows media won't make a fuss on this one.

Media and fans might not know as much as you, but we do know some things...

No one. If Pakistan don't even have a single middle order player than Fawad the selector/coach will select an opener of middle order and will also justify the selection.

Yup. Favoritism is almost impossible to get rid of.
Just have to live with what we have.

People don't criticise him for his stance, it's his technique which is flawed and cannot do well outside Asia.

The reason for this is that just before the ball is delivered, he closes his stance, which all batsmen with this stance do, but he over compensates and brings his front foot ahead of his back foot, closing off his stance. Since this is done quickly at the last second, his balance at the crease isn't good, so he will struggle to hit on the leg side, and wont be able to generate power throught the off side. He also won't be able to play the short ball.

This issue has always been there and Fawad hasn't been bothered fixing it, he only has himself to blaim here. This is a major flaw that would get easily worked out at international cricket, and he was found out by Australia and he struggled against them.

Unfortunately the domestic cricket in Pakistan don't identify these issues, neither do teams do research about their opposition. These players get found out at the international stage.
