Why are left-arm orthodox bowlers always handy with the bat?

Throughout my life, I have always found that left arm spinners are almost always classified as all rounders or pretty handy with the bat. Be it Shakib, Jadeja, Axar Patel, Imad or Nawaz.

Why is that the case?

My analysis
Left arm spinners doesn't need to learn variations, they are treated as run containers who can land the ball in the right place . So they have plenty of time to concentrate on batting ,where as right arm spinners should develop variations otherwise tgey fade away in no time and need to spend a lot of time mastering the bowling.

Vettori was the first major all rounder to surface after Jayasuriya who started as a bowler finished as an all rounder.

Santner, Maharaj are other very good batsmen along with being top SLA.

Zulfiqar Babar, Abdur Rehman were okaish with bat.

Makes sense. A lot of time to concentrate on batting.

My all time left arm spinner, batsman was Rangana Herath.
I wish if he had focused a little more on his batting to play a few more long batting innings.

His natural style of batting was so, so pleasing to the eye. It looked as if his batting style was better looking than the entire Pak batting line combined (excluding Babar).

Batting left handed seems to free the arms more. That is the reason.
