Why are we keeping rank turners in T20 games but flat wickets that turn on day 5 in Test Matches?

Deliberate ploy by the management??? Or just the way pitches are in Dubai?

In t20 games, you want more entertainment so we are creating pitches that turn a mile synonymous to a day 5 wicket..

And in test matches you get pitches with zero zip, no entertainment, and only on day 5 does it end up producing a result..

I think its a joke by the management/curators

The crowds are there for catch a crore... they hardly ever get a chance to catch the ball

There are no more than 3-4 sixes per innings on average, considering the boundary size that is nothing..

Its frustrating to watch t20 games like this..

During the last 5 days, there was no sun in Sharjah. It was only cloud cover and rain, thus the wicket in Sharjah wasn't really prepared. Can't blame nobody

What's the point of producing flat tracks in Test Matches when no crowds are in to see how the game goes on.. even a six goes to an empty stand...

It was the same in the last PSL too, Asghar and Nawaz looked million dollars, and the average score was 130-140..

This time its even more ridiculous with some teams getting out within 10 overs..

Agreed.

It's quite odd cause they have no problems preparing flat roads for tests. It doesn't matter what time of the year it is.

Yet, both PSLs have had rubbish tracks.

That is true, heck even the LOI games have more spin than Test pitches.

The Test tracks sometimes won't even spin on day 5, but here we have spinning paradises and low scoring games, when we want to see some big scores.

So ridiculous.

id love to see some turners in UAE tests rather than the flat pancakes we get served up.

If you have square turners on Day 1, then imagine what it would be on day 5. :ashwin :harby

pakistan need to prepare more turning pitches in UAE , they need to drive home the home advantage.

Lack of clue - Groundsmen don't know what they actually are trying to make.

By the way, none of the UAE wickets are batting paradise, neither rank turners. These are dead slow & low wickets where one can survive long hours with dead bat, but you can't play shots even on front feet, neither it turns sharp or bounces for the spinners. This is a tailor made wicket for Azhar Ali, Cook & Pujara type batsmen.
