Why aren't Pakistan playing any matches at Sharjah this season?

Been viewing the schedule for the winter (Asia Cup, Aus and NZ tours) and shocked to see that Sharjah is not holding a single match.

I can understand the Asia Cup not being held there as it is a BCCI hosted event and they appear to have a phobia/paranoia about Sharjah and its history.

But in respect of the Aus and NZ tours there is a total of 5 tests, 3 ODIs and 6 T20s. Not a single one is being held in Sharjah. Bizarrely 2 of the NZ tests are being held in Abu Dhabi. Is there a reason why Sharjah seems to have been blacklisted? It would be a shame if it has been blacklisted as it attracts the biggest crowds and has a certain run down charm that the other UAE grounds lack.

I think that's due to a local league being booked at that venue.

Its due to a contractual agreement between the Emriate and Pakistani cricket board.

The Afghanistan Premier League, T10 League, and UAE T20x, is being held in the area as well.

Still no games being played in Sharjah, sick and tired of watching us play in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

I recently read an article that the stadium is poorly maintained in the recent past, may be it isn't good enough to host international stature matches any more.

According to google, there’s a few football games being played there!
