Why aren't young batsmen being tried (like the bowlers) for the Australia tour?

I fail to understand why young bowlers are thrown into the international arena but not many young upcoming batsmen are given chances.

A similar approach should be taken like we did with babar azam and hes cemented his place.

Unfortunately for batting the old, tried and tested horses are recycled. No wonder we are a pathetic batting unit.

The likes of Haider Ali and Omair Bin Yousuf are ready, it's just a matter of time before Azhar is dropped due to bad performances.

Imam-ul-Haq's technique is also very flawed and he may not succeed in test cricket.

They get to bat at 6 or 7 in order to rubbish to bat ahead of them.

Waqar was the decision maker for bowlers and Misbah for batters, that's the reason.

Saud Shakeel comes to mind. A shame he is nowhere to be seen. Could have been just as good as bobby

TBH, I haven't come across any decent young batter in this year domestic season. The only decent players are Haider Ali and Omair Yousuf but even they are not earth shattering talent.

There was lots of talk about Saad Ali and Saud Shakeel but to be honest they are worse than Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali.

We are obsessed with the likes of Shoaib Malik and Umer Akmal. These players have been blocking new blood from making any impact. The likes of then newcomers Salahuddin, Umer Amin and Sohaib Maqsood failed to impress when were given a chance. I hate it when some posters pretend that our newcomers are good or should be given endless chances.

Most of the times these young players are debuted in overseas conditions (Read thrown to the wolves) to get the next Wasim or Inzi. But it mostly turns out to be a very harsh initiation to cricket for these lads. Plus, Pakistan does not do A tours because of the lack of quid pro quo where a team can send its A team to Pakistan.

Hopefully, the Sri Lankan tour will change things for the better. I don't think these youngsters should debut in Australia of all places. They should be eased into the side via easier tours such as against West Indies or even Bangladesh or Zimbabwe (with all due respect to these teams).

The only good young batsmen in this years QeA that I remember are Haider Ali and Omair Yousuf. I have heard so many people talk about Saad Ali and Saud Shakeel and how good they are but neither have had a good QeA season (so far) and I haven't seen any big performances from both of them in the National T20 cup however, they do have the potential to become great (and performing) players
