Countries like England, France, China, Japan e.t.c are miles ahead than us in field of Technology.

But still why footballers prefer Pakistani made footballs?

Are there any specific reasons for that?

It's just because cheaper labour is available in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc to make the balls, boots and other stuff they use. It's not a reason of quality but just exploitation from big brands such as Nike which just gives them deeper pockets.

Funny how you're forcing other south asian countries when sports supplies especially footballs are a market cornered by Pakistan from many decades, there's a long history of Pakistan manufacturing footballs - quality and low costs are the main reasons.

To put it bluntly, footballers do not prefer pakistani footballs. They couldn't care less where they were made

For me, the Made in Pakistan tag is like the forbidden fruit, therefore more desirable. Once I bought a towel just because it had the Pakistan tag and posted its pic on PP. It was my favourite towel and I felt I owned a piece of Pakistan with that small investment.

Few years back a Pakistani exhibition was held in Delhi, and the garments sold like hot cakes and some were even stolen. I think they have discontinued the exhibition as we strive to be more patriotic.

Yes the quality is superb but big brands such as Adidas and Nike do not like paying western wages for manufacturing. It's a major factor for them. Other companies use other sub-continent nations for the same reason.

On topic, I doubt most of the players care where the footballs are made and many are probably not even aware.

Players may not be even knowing where the football is made.

Its a adidas football. Just that its manufactured in Pakistan because of economic reasons.

Btw who told you that players preferred it?

If you buy a Iphone made in china, is because its made in china or is it because its a Apple IPhone?

Players dont prefer it specifically. They just want to play with a good quality ball whether it comes from Pakistan or else where.

Pakistan atm manufactures premium quality footballs.

The cost is a factor too, but if Pakistan didnt make good quality footballs, then Fifa (which earns billions of dollars every world cup) would surely get footballs made in Europe or America.

If players do care (doubt it) their attention will go to the brand. They might prefer Nike, Adidas, or someone else.

The actual footballs could be made on Mars for all they care.

I'm not. Obviously it's mainly Pakistan contributing but other south Asian countries are involved too. Do your research. Also it's not the footballers choosing the balls from the countries, they just choose the brand they use. The brands themselves choose where they are manufactured.

I know it must hurt for an Indian, seeing Pakistan being a success in any field but there are plenty of third world countries with cheap labour , such as India. Economics is only one reason, the other main reason for choosing Pakistan is the excellence in making sporting goods. The same company produced the 2014 World Cup balls and were deemed to be one of the best ever.

Its because the Sialkotians cornered the market in the 70s/80s when balls where stiched through child labour, fifa placed sanctions on them due to child labour and used chiniese balls for the 2006 WC but they came back with new technology where no stiching is required.

The new technology is thermo bonded which uses heat. Fifa investigated child labour in 1996 but this was almost entirely taking place in peoples homes who were producing footballs and not in the big established manufacturing companies(from what I know). It's great FIFA take these things seriuosly as it saves children and help the reputation of companies who come out clean later on.

India is far too big economically to be bothered by sale of few 1000 footballs by Pakistan. There is no comparision.

China too supplied the Fifa 2018 balls so its not exclusive to Pakistan.
