Why doesn't the wicket-keeper stand up automatically whenever Mohammad Abbas is bowling?

At the end of the day, coach & captain make plans and ask bowlers to execute them. Now, before that, it was always been deflected that the bowlers don't execute the plan as they weren't bowling 'perfect' length. Seems convenient to hide behind bowlers or batsmen when you don't give them plan or adapt/change their technique as per conditions.

Now, ever since Abbas bowled in first test against England in England, any basic cricket fan would have guessed what was his future and how he has been negated. Batsmen bat outside of his crease. Now, this takes lbw & bowled out of the equation, and the full balls look like full toss, or half volleys.

What's solution? The team management should have had intelligence to let keeper stand close to stumps and then have abbas bowl wicket to wicket.

But clueless waqar & misbah, kudos to them for making a perfect mockery out of us, and now will hide behind excuses like the team is young and inexperience. of course it's young and inexperience. But, how do you explain the circus happening on field?

Why yasir bowling too quick?
Why no plan for drives and leave the gap open, inviting shots?
Why is iftikhar even the team?

What is even happening???????????????

It is up to the bowler,if bowler wants keeper to be standing at the stumps,he should be the one communicating with the captain and keeper.
1.Yasir was afraid of tossing the ball up, u can't blame a spinner for not tossing up when he is taking to the cleaners.
2.Ball is not doing much so they go with Misbah tactic of defensiveness.
3.becoz of t20 performances, ifti is playing.

Not easy to stand up to the stumps, regardless of the pace.

In UAE, sure.
Really?

I remember Kock standing close when Philander bowled. Gilchrist used to do it all the time. Bairstow/Butler to Sam Curran. Not easy for Pakistani keepers it seems.

I said it's not easy, not that it's not possible.

Rizwan had several fumbles while standing up, so it's not reasonable to expect him to do it for all 20+ overs that Abbas is going to bowl on an average day. He had trouble with the bounce.

With the new ball, it's even tougher if it's moving around, though Abbas doesn't really swing the ball.

Because the batsmen can stand outside the crease to negate whatever little movement is there, without which Abbas is totally harmless.
