Will Indian team boycott matches against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 and T20 World Cup 2026?

hahaha

India pulling gimmicks on and off field about boycott is nothing short of Hilarious. the absolute Majboori of Indian team to play Pak 😂😂 we all understand that majboori… Money .. Money 😂😂 Rest all excuses , BS and acting like not shaking hands

I can understand the pain behind all those smilies. Keep at it.. :yk

Keep telling yourself that.. I know the hurt of May. This cricket victory serves the balm. i understand 😂

Ahh yes the hurt of May where 69000 Indian jets were shot down over Modi's House and Kashmir was liberated.

It's good that cricket matches are telecasted live , or else you guys would have won all the matches on social media and claimed Pak won by 600 runs yesterday. :ROFLMAO:

The fact that Pakistanis turned that cliche statement into some sort of an evidence of your "victory" says everything one needs to know. So desperate for a W against India after multiple humiliations and surrenders.. we understand that.

Victory is subjective. India did nt claim any territory back to call it absolute victory. You did some damage. so did we. Now SU and stop proving to us you won something in May by playing cricket matches 😂😂

Lol at Shahid Afridi's recent statement "India may well win the hundred cricket matches against Pakistan, but they and their future generations and their future future generations will never get over the phaintee they received in front of the whole world against Pakistan during Operation Sindoor"

Pakistan's whole world is as much kheyali pulao as Ricky Ponting going after Indian team for not shaking hands. Social media fake news has grasped the nation and likes of Afridi is taking mileage out of it.

Unlike last time, there’s barely any noise from Indian Twitter about boycotting the PAK vs IND game.

Seems like Pahalgam found its own form of justice—no need for hashtags when you can just skip the handshakes.

India is Super Power of Fake News. Godi Media thrives on it. The irony of this post

EU disinfo Lab exposed India long ago

That is because it is the second match. If you have followed Asia cup's in last few editions, the second match always gets less hype. Maybe due to overkill or whatever, it never feels like the first match.

Even posters here not discussing much about tomorrow's game. Compare it to the first match where we had pre match thread created a month ago, I am calling for boycott from past 2 months etc etc.

This only proves the theory, more regularly we play....it loses the novelty and public interest.

I’ve heard reports Naqvi was strongly contemplating pulling out of the Asia Cup but Najam Sethi convinced him not to…

Mainly citing risk of ACC / ICC sanctions and foreign players refusing to play in the PSL as a result.

Seems like back channel discussions were very heated and serious a few days ago

As I said earlier, all the boycott hooohaaa has gone to dust...

For its matches against Pakistan in the current Asia Cup in UAE, the BCCI has adopted what has been called a "invisible boycott" strategy. On Sunday, September 28, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India and Pakistan will face off in the continental competition finale. Reports state that BCCI would stick to their "invisible boycott" strategy as no board representative will be present at the venue to grace the meeting.

This boycott approach was initially considered prior to India vs Pakistan in Group A. Because of the continuous animosity between the two nations, the BCCI chose to keep high office-bearers away from cameras rather than completely cancel the match.

The absence of BCCI officials looks like a direct response to public sentiment. In recent weeks, several fan groups across India have amplified boycott campaigns, urging the board not to lend symbolic support to the contest.

This stance marks a sharp contrast to earlier this year, when the same venue hosted an India-Pakistan clash in the Champions Trophy. On that occasion, the stands were filled not only with fans but also with a large contingent of BCCI dignitaries and state association heads. Their absence this time underscores the weight of the current political climate.

India and Pakistan have faced off in two Asia Cup matches so far in this edition. In their Group A clash, Salman Agha's team lost to the Men in Blue by 7 wickets. When the two sides faced off again in the Super Fours, India won by a margin of 6 wickets.

Suryakumar Yadav has guided the young Indian team admirably despite not scoring many runs throughout the event. With three half-centuries in six games, Abhishek Sharma has been India's standout player. Kuldeep Yadav has been excellent with the ball with 13 wickets at an average of 9.85 in six games. Both players have won two Player of the Match awards each as India have maintained a perfect record in the tournament so far.

This is how BCCI's official and @Rajdeep will watch the final of Asia Cup. :yk :inti

Good. Anyway this is a glorified exhibition match with a minnow. No need for BCCI guys to be there for another routine thrashing of a lower ranked team.

BCCI can do what it wants. Pakistan is a weak minnow and the Indians are simply making the most out of it.

BCCI officials today will watch like this😂

With BCCI Officials boycotting and Moshin Naqvi is scheduled to hand over the trophy to the winning captain, the result of this match I am afraid has already been decided backstage. What will be shown on your tv sets today is a gimmick and not a fair contest.

This seems worded to go anyway. Can you clarify who you feel will win?

This thread is picking up some momentum. Clear signs Pakistani fans are desperately seeking a moral victory somewhere after the phainta.

He’s just lining up excuses so if Pakistan wins, he can say it was all a gimmick and the result was fixed ’cause the BCCI officials didn't turn up and India players lost the game as a invisible boycott.

My strong suspicion is this game is rigged for Pak to win. Nothing else explains why no BCCI representative will be present even though they are hosts of this tournament and reason why Naqvi is present in Dubai to hand over the trophy.

It is a shame Rajdeep Bhai thinks Indians can be bought so easily. Makes the dedication to Pahalgam so hollow if true

This thread will be most active after the match. Some people's only talk nonsense and conspiracy theories :kp

Well you said the same even before the legends game and was convinced that the game will happen. Now once again doing the same mistake.

Again, Asia cup cricket match between India and Pakistan will not happen. It will be cancelled and points will be shared.

:kp
This guy is the one giving us lectures
🤣

Which game is that? India Pakistan Asia cup match is definitely not happening.

Are you not listening what I have been saying?

Are you not aware that when Rajdeep speaks, you just listen?

I

It seems to be the case. They are preparing for olympics and dont want to give olympics body any chance by pak or its proxies.

Honestly, who cares what Indian fans in UAE 'genuinely' thinks. LOL.

Majority of Indian fans in India dnt want this match. And I am not shooting this off in thin air like you but saying this with proof. India's leading polling agency Cvoter conducted the survey for India today and 61%of Indians have said resounding no to play Pakistan. So if Govt of India still permits this game, it will be a political suicide.

I genuinely don't see any compulsion from BCCI to play Pakistan.

Is it a crucial ICC event?
No. Asia cups have been postponed, delayed numerous times in the past.

Is BCCI dying for money?
No. BCCI earns more from IPL than 10 editions of Asia cup.

Is India desperate to win Asia cup?
No. We won last 3 out of 4 Asia cups.

Is Pakistan that good a cricket team?
No. They are a borderline minnow and our players get nothing playing with them.

Olympics?
I think its a misconception. Pakistan is not travelling to India anyway. They didnt even travel for hockey and withdraw their participation. Surely hosting a Asia cup in UAE in 2025 cant be selling point for Olympics 2036?

So I dont see a single benefit for BCCI/Indian Govt to engage with Pakistan in cricket.

Can someone convince me what Indian cricket gains from it?

That is why I buy none of these news. Posters here will get a massive reality check in coming few days.

I am putting my neck on the line again and claiming - India will not play against Pakistan in Asia cup 2025.

Just wait for couple of weeks and all will be clear.

Some gems from the same hypocrites whining now.

It is not SKYs fault but Indians are boycotting this game en masse. I know OP is having a great time and taking it as a joke but Boycott this match is trending widely all over. In the Indian forums, no discussion is happening. The prominent cricket youtube channels are not covering this game. Tickets are still unsold. Even after Sony TV tried their best to market this game, people are no longer buying it. This game does not exist in our book.

Indians are gearing up for Man U vs Man City today. That game will get crazy viewership from Indian diaspora

:kp
@Rana @Major @emranabbas

Indians boycotted the Asia cup game en-masse against Pakistan.

By playing the game.

@Rajdeep was the first one saying india shouldn't play Pakistan in asian cup and even giving guarantee there will be no india vs pakistan in asian cup

but he later realised BCCI GOI and the Indians are eunuch and don't have the himmat to boycott pakistan.

now that Pakistan has boycotted India they are having meltdowns

its a huge embarrassment for Indians but they wont admit it and will try to spin it in a victory to save face

So embarrassing for Raj, now when he speaks even Dev doesn't listen. Poor chap

We are not chickening out against Pakistan, the cricket team. Surprised if you are thinking that way. Is the T20 win over Bangladesh today is giving you that confidence? Ofcourse if we play, we will win.

However, we will not allow any game against Pakistan keeping the victims of Pahalgam and soldiers in mind. That is non negotiable. Yes we can give the points to them. That way they will finally manage to win an Asia cup since god knows when.

raju in a total different tune nowadays :p

@Bhaag Viru Bhaag @Rana @DeadlyVenom @The Bald Eagle

I wanted India to play Asia cup and humiliates Pakistan and they did. Not Just once big thrice in three successive Sunday's.

Those three phainta are the reason why Pakistan is already surrender and run Away

Ye Aaukat ho gyi tumhari buzdili team ki.

:klopp :kp
Lol this thread will become a graveyard for certain trolls

If this match gets cancelled, brother @Bhaag Viru Bhaag will be distorted. Poor guy doing 'El Classico El Classcio' for past 1 month and a half only to witness 2 matches already got cancelled. If this one gets the same fate, which it will, poor guy be absolutely shattered.

#Boycott

:misbah :kp
How many India vs Pakistan matches did India boycott since then? :yk :inti
