Will Mickey Arthur accept responsibility for the consequences of not selecting Bilal Asif earlier?

The selectors provided Bilal Asif and Asghar to Sarfaraz and Mickey Arthur for the Sri Lanka series in 2017. But Mickey chose to ignore both the guys twice. If Mickey Arthur had his way, he would have gone with Shadab in this series.

But the selection of Bilal Asif and his performance in this series where he has picked up 9 wickets has not only silenced his critics who claimed he was an ordinary bowler but also called in question the competence of Mickey Arthur when it comes to his selection decisions.

To be very honest, the selectors have cooperated with Mickey Arthur and have constantly conceeded to his demands and given him the squad he wanted but he ultimately made the decision with regards to the playing 11.

would'ave, could'ave, should'ave... bilal asif is no world beater and wasn't really hard done by... this is a very weak Aus side. In the first test, he got 6 in first innings, and none when it mattered in the second innings. This test again, abbas did all the harf work up top, granted bilal got three, nothing special yet. Hopefully he keeps picking up wkts and gets only better, but Mickey did no mickey in holding him back (pun intended)...

When he was in the squad for the Sri Lanka Series and when 2 specialist spinners were needed on those pitches, i think it was pretty criminal to keep him on the bench. This Australian team is no weaker than the Sri Lankan side today which we lost 2-0 too.
