2nd test today at Trinadad. Windies looking the favourites after a great performance in Georgetown and with Lara,Gayle,Bravo and Sarwan back.

Trinadad starts turning on days 4 and 5. Saffies are poor players of spin. If the Windies bat first than they will be favourites

Im looking forward to the return of Lara, Sarwan, Bravo and especially Gayle. If Gayle's last Test match was anything to go by (a 81 ball century which included smashing 6 fours in one 6 ball over) then we are in for a real treat.

Not only that, in his last he lead Jamaica to a win in a final in a domestic competition with a century in both innings!

trinidad will be another slow low wicket, expect batsmen on both sides to fill his boots. Batting 1st will be an adavntage. shud be a gud game.

wicket looks very hard however it does have alot off grass on it. scores off under 200 are very rare.. 400+ is always seen as a par 1st inns total.

new ball being wasted here.. nels not even bowled 1 straight ball yet..

am intrested to see zondeki bowl when he gets the chance.

two very very poor shots thus far...

ntini bowling well thou

Ball is coming on quick to the bat. No wonder they both top edged it

Sarwan and Gayle love to throw their wickets away. I don't think Sarwan has done full justice to his role at number 3.

sarwan is a very classy player - great to watch when in full flow, maybe chanderpaul should bat at 3 with sarwan at 5

No doubt but he does throw his wicket too often for my liking. I think he can be compulsive hooker and gets out on that too often. Also his record so far doesn't do justice to his talent.

If one looks at his record he has probably been out caught by 'others' many times which includes loose shots getting him out at sq leg or point. Needs to show more consistency. Same goes for Gayle.

;)+ ;)+ sarwan has immense talent but doesnt justuify it fully in tests... agree 100%

Sarwan hasn't really performed in tests but has performed in ODI. Do you think he tries to play a bit different in tests to ODI? If he does then should'nt he bat more like he does in the ODIs? :)?

I think he plays in a similar fashion to ODI's. But in tests he has to control his (high risk) hooks and airy drives early on to be more consistent. Most of the time you will see him getting out going for his shots rather than bowlers getting him out.

sarwans very loose in his play wether it be attack and defense... in odis u can get away with that to an extent in tests u cant.

I dunno how he's No1 ODI batsman though. He didnt do anything special in the VB series apart from 2 fifties against Pak

And Bennet King was only saying the other day that Lara was looking rusty in the nets. Look at him now in full flow a true sign of a great batsmen and in my opinion the greatest in the world.

Yeah thats when he got that 400*! When the pressure was really on!

Zondeki looks like a good pacer for SA

Mid and sometimes high 80s mph so far.
One was timed at 94.3mph but im convinced that was an error as it didn't look much different and the was 10mph faster than what he was normally bowling

Windies 71-2 after 36 overs at lunch.

Lara 41* (Looking in superb touch)
W Hinds 15*

LARA is at his majestic best i hope he gets a really big hundred

West Indies 140/3

rain stopped play - early tea being taken

There's only one Lara! He is at his vintage best, there's no better sight in cricket than watching Lara in full flow. Without a shadow of doubt the greatest batsman in the world 2day.

Best batsmen in the world:

1) Lara

2) Tendu

Theres no sight quite like it is there, those Trinny possie girls, oops I mean Brian Lara at his best.

He reminds me of a magician who has a wand in his hand, just waves the wand and the ball disappears to the boundary in a flash.

West Indies 162/3

lara hammering kallis around the park...

lara now decides to give zondeki a beating

lara onto 94 now...

Lara is performing genocide

chanderpaul playing well, seems hes jusy countinued from guyana...

another good batting wicket...bowlers cannot do anything at the moment

plus, lara has always played well here. is he aiming for 500 this time..hehe!

almost at the century mark

the wicket is pretty dead i wouldnt blame it all on the bowlers

i remember we came here and but for the genius of Akram, it looked mighty impossible to get someone out

this is laras 1st match for 3 months... wish i had his touch!

thumping cut shot for 2 runs by lara

now onto 98

i wish i could touch HIM!
