India could have used him as a surprise weapon in the next world cup but if he continues to play these odi series, it gives other teams a good chance to prepare their strategy to counter him.

Would it be worth it to sacrifice few series for the world cup?

OTOH, the more he plays the better he'll get. Experience and exposure. He is a wrist spinner and will pwn hacks no matter how much they play against him
