Worst country in the world to drive in?

I used to think Pakistan was bad, but my God, do people here in Italy even know what driving is? Outrageously bad driving here, make Pakistan's ridiculous ulta chalane wala system look good.

Like, I don't get how you can drive so badly on a regular basis in a country where everyone is somewhat following the law, unlike Pakistan. Like, the hell? Then I see idiots on a regular basis trying to park their cars in positions that they patently can not fit in.

Id have to say Pakistan in my experience. I havent been to anywhere else where so many people on bikes ride with no lights at all even when there are no street lights.

It's not that Indians do not follow traffic rules. It is very simple, there is only one traffic rule in India:

Move into any empty space that you would like to, unless there is a bigger vehicle or one more dented than your car trying to move into that space.

Wait till you guys drive in Jeddah. The only rule there is stop at red lights and that too because of cameras that will penalise you SAR3000 (~US$800) if captured driving past a red light.

I would say you are overly exaggerating. Yes Italians are one of the worst drivers in Eu but comparing it with Pakistan is a big NO NO. Note: I have driven both in Pak and Italy.

Evryone is listing up a city or country and calling it the worst. How do you even come to that conclusion? I could buy it if a person had experience from many countries in all continents, but just listing up a random place just because YOU think it was bad doesn’t seem correct at all.

The worst I have experienced is São Paulo, Jakarta and Manila. Makes driving in south Asian cities seem like a cakewalk.

There is a main road in Ethiopia iirc where there’s no signals no lanes, yet people improvise. There is a video of it somewhere. There is some beauty in the chaos and danger of it.

It is bad in Spain but all big cities' taxi drivers are like that. Saw some atrocious driving in Munich and Luxembourg.

To OP: Pakistani, especially Lahore area: do these people even have a driving licence?

Toronto has many bad drivers but overall, it is nowhere as bad as many other places (like populous cities in India).

A French driver has been handed fines totalling nearly £25,000 for driving in London’s low-emissions zone, even though his minibus was exempt from the emissions charge.

Fernando Neiva, who runs a transport service for French tourists to the UK, has received 12 fines of £2,000 each after one of his drivers entered the Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) and three fines totalling over £700 for breaching Ultra Low Emissions (Ulez) rules after visits to London last October and November.

The schemes, introduced by London’s mayor, Sadiq Khan, require vehicles that do not meet current emissions standards to pay a charge to enter the capital. Drivers who fail to do so face fines of up to £3,000 a day. Since Neiva’s vehicle complied with the standards, his company did not pay the fee.

Neiva is one of thousands of EU drivers caught out by a little-known requirement to pre-register their vehicles with Transport for London (TfL). Those who fail to do so have their vehicles classified by default as high emission.

The minibus, registered to Neiva’s company, JD Limousine, and driven by his associate, Jayson Bachubira, was erroneously classed as a heavy diesel vehicle in breach of the LEZ and also held liable for Ulez charges levied on smaller, older vehicles.
