They say fielding can make a difference in cricket.

Today let us see Lanka's fielding effort. 2nd ball of the match, Gunathilaka dropped the catch of Azhar Ali. That catch could have made a huge difference.

Also, there were atleast 6-7 run out chances where they simply failed to hit the stump. By run out chances I didn't mean 50-50. I meant a sure Run-out if they could just hit the stump.

There was another event where there was 4 overthrows.

Now, Thisara Perera dropped Sarfaraz, and that was an absolute dolly.

Gunathilaka dropped Sarfaraz, I mean I know its a difficult chance but this is INTERNATIONAL CRICKET.

And now as I speak there keeper lets a ball go through. Oh, and another misfield for a single.

Lanka used to be the best fielding side in Asia. These days they look unfit, getting injured left right, misfields, sluggish with their fielding, dropping catches.

I have never seen such a worse display of fielding in a match like this from a non-minnow ever and not just a high voltage match like this.

Looks like two minnow sides fighting for the Champions Trophy SF spot

School boys errors, easy drop catches, can't handle pressure. Cricket has lost its charm.

Some people were laughing at Bangladesh for making Champions trophy to lose its "Championship feel"

But what I see here is that BD made to look professional

Away condition for both. Pressure packed game. It happens. Big teams do drop catches as well. easy ones. In ICC tournaments.

Harsha Bhogle: There is a great sense of co-operation on display here. Pakistan offering the match and Sri Lanka politely declining.

A really bad day in the field for SL.

That dropped catch by Perera was unforgivable.

Sri Lanka's fielding today :)))

That dropped catch will go down in history as one of the worst drop in international cricket history.

I'm sorry but the way Pakistan played they would be lucky to have scored 150+.

I am not sure even Pakistanis sre supposed to complain they are just laughing it off.

The Perera drop was unbelievable. Indeed dropped the match right there.

It is not often that the other team fields worse then Pakistan:yk.

They simply used up all their quota of luck in their game against India.
