Its a general question to both fans. Would you still want to see 16th June game or looking at the war like situation, you think this match should be called off?

Only if Pakistan wins the toss, bats first and scores 350, with Babar Azam scoring a brilliant century and Imam, Fakhar, Akmal and Haris providing able support. Then the bowlers proceed to demolish the Indians for a score of under 120, with Amir getting Rohit and Kohli for ducks.

If this is not an option, then I would like to see the BCCI pull an IAF and forfeit the match and two points.

Basically this.

Yes.

Want Pakistan to give a thrashing that India never will forget.

No. After boycotting bollywood movies and local Indian businesses, for me cricket is next. Cannot tolerate oppressors or their well wishers. Cricket/sports is just entertainment, and means nothing when it comes to dealing with the enemies of peace.

The day that somebody can come up with a coherent, non chest beating reason for a sporting match between 11 cricketers, none of whom are soldiers, being cancelled that doesnt fall apart after ten seconds of scrutiny, is the day the game should be cancelled.

Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Ahmed et al have as much to do with conflict as I do with Mecca. Stop linking the two and enjoy the sport for what it is, SPORT.

Otherwise dont go to the event and a more deserving side will go instead.

Certainly not. While things should cool down by the world cup, forfeiting a match in the group stages isn't a big deal.

Game needs to be forfeited with immediate effect and the onus is on the PCB to act first!

No! I would rather an easy two points here because we struggle against India in WC matches. It would also put a lot of pressure on India to qualify after forfeiting the Pak match. There fans will go mad should they not qualify.

Yup, free points please

Now that the Indian government has shown some spine, I want match to continue. Normally, sports bodies shouldn't involve themselves in these decisions as it should be taken by the Government.

Honestly speaking, I don’t know.

This is a terrible time to lose another World Cup match to India. They will troll and rub it in like never before.

People like Gambhir, Sehwag, Arnab Goswami, Bollywood actors etc. will celebrate it as if they have won a war and conquered Pakistan.

The tributes to Pulwama victims will be flowing all over social media, and the impact of that loss is going to jolt Pakistan for a very long time.

However, on the other hand, this is also the perfect time to end the streak and have another fluke win over India.

It will be incredible to see the reactions of all the aforementioned bhakhts. It will be nothing short of pouring salt to a deep wound.

They will not handle the loss sportingly and the Indian team including Kohli will come under serious fire. You can expect burning of effigies and the players’ houses getting pelted.

The only way the Indian team would be able to redeem itself is by recovering and winning the World Cup.

However, that will take a lot of resilience because their players might crack under the wave of criticism and hysteria back home.

As far as Pakistani fans are concerned, if Indians think that they went too far with the Champions Trophy celebrations, watch what happens if we fluke June 16.

Our people will celebrate like never before. The trolling from our end will not stop and it will take more than a couple of Asia Cup drubbings to kill the momentum.

That is why I am on the fence. It is a game that we can absolutely not lose, but it also represents an incredible opportunity for a flash in the pan victory.

Who is babar azam?

Someone who never won a game for his side by chasing a competitive total against a decent attack when a nobody like Manish Pandey was able to fluke it against Aus in Aus in an ODI by hitting a century and winning atleast one dead rubber! :)))

Someone who has played a better innings in an ICC KO match in the ODI format than Virat Kohli has in his entire career.

With the stream of prominent ‘Pakistan friendly’ Indians rapidly burning bridges by making provocative statements, Pakistan should cut all ties including playing Cricket matches against this brainwashed country led by the oppressive 'Chimpanzee' Modi.

As anyone can see, most pakistanis want the match to go ahead while indians are calling for a forfeit

There’s still 4 months until the match.

Things will have calmed down by then and people of both countries will have moved on. Plus the Indian elections will be over by then so all the political buzz will be gone.

what if we defeat them in the knockouts stage? if we meet

Little bit of research helps.
Kohli scored 58(64) vs sl in ct 2013 semifinal

Little bit of reading helps too. How is that innings better than what Babar Azam did against a much better team in a much bigger match?

Babar didn't even score a 50. LoL
By your criteria kohlis 35 in world cup final wipes the floor with babar's innings as it came in a 1000 times bigger match.

The cricket fan in me can't wait for the match. At the same time I'll never confess it to my family and friends because I'll be labelled as insensitive, or maybe even a traitor.
