I had SL as favourites before the tournament but given the way India have played it's going to be hard to look past them. They cruised through the tough group easily beating Pak, WI and OZ and then looked in control throughout against SA. It's going to take a special performance to beat them I reckon.

Actually I wanted Lankans to win as I assumed that Indians will not get past the group stages. But India made it to the finals. Will be tough for Lankans.

Win the toss and bowl first. Put Perera up in the order at no 5. Drop Chandimal once again.
Take Kohli and Raina's wicket early. Bowl with basics right with not looking for variations.Be aggressive like a lion. Dont be humble and sedate like what was Pakistan and WI against the Indians. And take the trophy with u back home. As simple as this!

As much as I want Lankans to win …. I don't think it is going to happen. Just like we have a phobia of playing against the Indians …. so do the Lankans. Besides, the Indians, at present, are supremely confident. Nothing seem to faze them. If Dhoni wins the toss, match over. Only way to defeat them is to make them bat FIRST. For them, setting a target seem to be not as essy as chasing one. Besides Kohli, Dhoni is the most dangerous guy. He always shows up when few quick run are needed …. and delivers …. damn !!!!!

For some reason India SL matches are never intense. I hope we will see a worthy final tomorrow.

Both teams have good chances, nothing matters now. Doesnt matter how they reached finals, its here and its now. Anyone wins this one match and rest will be history.

However i think India has a slight edge due to their performance so far and their mental edge over SL. But SL and Ind are similar in very ways, any result is possible.
