This could jeopardize future participation in cpl

Rightly so
I hope the Pakistani players refuse to come back

they have public goodwill so awaam will support it and PCB will be forced to bend

Firstly, most of them don't even deserve contracts like tuk-tuk master Babar Azam and the good-for-nothing trundler Sohail Tanvir when there are much better players available like Tamim Iqbal, Shabbir Rahman, Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar and many more from other countries.

And then PCB pulls stunts like this. CPL owners should get their act together next year and stop selecting Pakistani players so that such farce doesn't happen again.

This is on Sethi, he's such a little conniver.

I think I know what his plan is, he wants the PSL to be the exclusive preserve of where you can see Pakistani players play T20, whilst at the same time ruining other T20 tournaments.

LOL

Sohail Tnvir is a legend of these leagues

and dont worry. When Pakistani players dont play in such leagues, they will go to second tier Saffers, Kiwis etc. Bangladesh still has a ways to go

Babar azam is ranked 5th in the odi ranking which bd legend tamim is 11th so babar is not as bad as you think also he averages 35+ in t2os so he is capable t20 player as for tanvir he was top 3 wicket taker in last 2 CPL session which reward him as most expensive player this year in cpl so it is justified why he is picked

I know the players you mention apart from tamim are rated high in bd but in the international arena they are nothing specail for leagues like netwest or cpl

The day you have one trophy in bcb head quarter then may be leagues will select bd players apart from 2 or three

I don't understand why you start every time with such posts that actually derails a potential thread?

PAK players were contracted first because they are perceived as better value for money - now people are reacting because it's hurting their cause and caught them off guard at 11th hour. It doesn't matter TANVIR or Sobers is better - truth is TANVIR was called first & now that decision of preferring a PAK player has back fired, because of few immature & incompetent people holding key decision making posts, without accountability.

Only reason for this that PAK has no PCA (Professional Cricketer's Association), which is one of the first steps that domestic reforms needs and the likes of Misbah should focus on forming one such, instead of freeloading for couple more years of PSL contracts and captaincy of such meaningless tournaments, where his son should be playing.

Pollard still has a big PSL contract - he won't have posted such in his tweets, which actually indicates how much disgusted they are & this 'll be the case everywhere, if you pull your players at the business end of tournament without prior notice. Now cricket season is starting & Counties or CPL won't get any preferred replacements either even from FC level of AUS or SAF.

If this goes on for few more tournaments - every PSL will meet lots of Sharjeels & I am sure some people at PCB'll be damn happy as well for that, because of the "administrative cost", that comes with the package.

Not only him, even I'm disappointed!

I only watch PSL, and follow CPL and sometimes watch it too if the timings are compatible.

Rest of the leagues mean nothing to me...

Why do you have to mess with other boards if you have enough international cricketers in the country without duty!

Its probably to attract viewers but then you have a lot of them locally like Ahmed Shahzad and Umar Akmal, why is it necessary to send the youngsters back specially who are gaining international exposure!

instead of asking back for players, we should thank the CPL entity for selecting youngsters from Pakistan!

Typical Pakistani management style. Reminds me of my previous bosses. Always keep the employees guessing what you are about to do next and always look to screw with their perks/benefits regardless of their performance and missing/reaching targets.

Here in the middle east, if you work for a pakistani manager you can say goodbye to your customary 30 days annual leave. He will always find a way to screw you over and sometimes not even give you your leave after 2 years or more. This is just one example. Imagine dealing with such types of people 6 days a week.

He has right to be fustrated. This t20 tournament that has been arranged was done at the last minute which has caused the franchise a problem as they weren't expecting it.

Hopefully this isn't done again by PCB.

When the country is run so unprofessionally what does one expect from this politically influenced cricket board.

It will be run in similar fashion- it's just a reflection of the government.

Vice versa, international players can do the same for PSL specially the WI players.

They can do something much worse and outright refuse to play any games in Pakistan, PSL or no. This sets our country back a lot further and there's nothing we can do about it if they take this stance.

Kieron Pollard is right.

On a light hearted note PCB is doing a favour for Babar Azam. I worry about his mental state sometimes.

The golden goose that is Sethi. Well done, mate.

Now win us the World Cup will ya!

yaar the more i see him the more i think:

"He is certainly an Akmal family member"

Akmals self ruined themselves. They were given way more chances than any other player(all three Akmals).
But despite that they failed and acted like they were superstars... which they aren't.
Babar has to take care of this thing... not to push the self destruction button and maybe he shud be kept away frm T20's... T20s will only ruin him, it just isn't his format.

LOL! Dude they dont play in PSL because they love Pakistan or to reciprocate the Pakistani Players playing in CPL, they play because they are payed good amount of money. Half the money is paid before hand which none of the leagues does.

Secondly, none of the contracted player of WI has played in PSL, Holder and Braithwate were meant to play last year but their board forced them to play domestic ODI tournument.

The players playing in CPL were our centrally contracted players and a lot of players from many other countries had to leave leagues for one reason and another.

So its not a biggy many people here are making it out to be. You are going to see this Kieron Pollard in PSL 3 and Pakistani players playing again in CPL next year due the value they bring in.

I dont know what Kieron Pollard was referring to when he said same thing happened last year. Imad Wasim was man of the match of the Final which means he played till the end and Sohail Tanvir was also their in the other team.

His team got out before the eliminators, so i dont know what he is talking about.

Yes if there was a test series or international commitment than all the players cant prefer T20 leagues over international commitments like him.
