Here i am listing the left handed cricketers on the basis of their value as entertainers or the joy they radiated. It is not ranking them in terms of pure merit or class but aesthetic value.

1.Gary Sobers
2.Wasim Akram
3.Brian Lara/David Gower
5.Adam Gilchrist
6.Alan Davidson
7.Chris Gayle
8.Sannath Jayasuriya
9.Neil Harvey
10.Bishen Bedi
11.Alvin Kalicharan/Clive Lloyd

Sobers was the epitome of cricketing art in every department.Wasim was the equivalent of magician as seamer and also a flamoboyant striker.Gower's strokes took grace to the heights of divinty while Lara ' s batting had the touches of sculptor Michelangelo taking creativity to it's ultimate zenith.Adam Gilchrist in ful flow was like a bomber destroying an airbase blending power and skill in perfect proportion.Davidson was dadly with the ball and also very handy with the bat.Gayle could set a stadium on fire.Jayasuriya was devastating agressive who could make the impact of a hurricane but still posess a sublime elegance.Harvey was batting perfection personified.Bedi was more artistic than any left-arm spinner.Clive Lloyd's brutal power moulded with Kalicharn's meticuluos technical skil would comprise the perfect left-handed batsmen Both entertained like Holywood stars on their day.

Missed out by a margin of a nose were Frank Woolley,Saed Anwar,Vinoo Mankad and Sangakaara.

1. Wasim Akram, just so entertaining with bat and ball.
2. Adam Gilchrist, one of the greatest pure strikers of the ball and the best keeper/bat ever.
3. Chris Gayle, on his day could launch it a mile.
4. Saeed Anwar, Pakistan still havent found a better opener.
5. Sanath Jayasuriya, a true batting revolutionary.

Haven't seen much of Gary Sobers apart from few Youtube videos.

Waseem Akram has to be the one.

Gilchrist and Jayasuriya to be No. 2 and 3

Wasim Akram (left handed or right handed, entertainment guaranteed; maybe Afridi can provide somewhat equal entertainment)

Great analysis.hit the nail on the head everywhere

Good list. My top 2 are Wasim and Sanath. I feel Sanath as a batsman is really underrated. To me he was the best player of anything on off stump or wide of it during his time.

Saeed Anwar for me.

Amazing wrists and had the ability to play shots other batsmen could only dream of.

In no particular order, out of the players I have seen

Sannath
Gayle
Warner
De Kock
Gilchrist
Lara
Starc

Wasim Akram with the ball and Sanath Jayasuriya will the bat. It is hard to look past Sanath as the most entertaining left hander. Gilly comes close but Sanath just edges it. It was amazing to see how he took apart some of the best bowlers in ODI cricket. He wasn't too shabby in tests as well.
