Yes, I do appreciate him very much. his defence and security analysis are very accurate - most of them turn out to be true.

I like him, sometimes he talks some serious nonsense but it is nice to have such a pro Pakistani view expressed in the media which is usually very pessimistic and full of doom and gloom.
 
Any Muslim who has fought alongside the freedom fighters in Afghanistan is a hero to me. Anyone who has done this is and also loves Pakistan more than himself is even a bigger hero. I don't agree with him 100% but neither do I with anyone on the planet.

Zaid Hamid is an ISI/Military tool, if he is such a patriotic pakistani then he should start by criticizing the same military, agencies, and generals, in particular Mush and Kiani who sold Pakistan's interests to the amreekans and which alone has brought all this death and misery to Pakistan...

He should realize that people won't buy his over the top pronouncments and defense of Army and Agencies and railing against amreeeka, when the former is accepting overt and covert payments for services rendered for the latter...

It's up to the people of Afghan now.

They must stand up and reject the ideolgy they think is false.
 
To be fair, it's not easy being Pro Pakistani in Pakistan where how most of Pro Pakistani are being portrayed, and easily maligned by our media 24/7. Honesty and Islam have no place in media anymore which is very unfortunate.

You gotta give him credit for being tough, and keeping the situation under control somehow despite of very 'delicate' situation the nation is in.

May Allaah (SWT) rewards him and his supporters full of happiness forever, Ameen!

Whether you admit or not, but he is HERO, and very fine role model of today generation of Pakistan where the love of Pakistan is starting to become myth sadly.

As others have said to the outsiders (people born outside Pak etc) he is a bit entertaining in a twisted sort of way but guys like this are always causing trouble in the end.

Partially selecting some texts from religious books and then mixing it with everyday politics and then trying to make populist future scenarios (in a troubled climate) is a wicked twisted man's idea of a leader.

His Dhamaki to US was really funny!

He's one of the best comedians out there these days. Up there with the likes of Tahir ul Qadri and Javed Ghamdi.

I'm hoping the three of them go on tour soon... would be awesome.

I like him- he's honest, patriotic person.

People laughed at him regarding some of the things he said in the past but they have come true. I actually made a thread on one of his statement coming true- wasn't surprised that the burger kept away from that thread lol

There are many people out there trying to defame him for an example Geo anchors. The Yousaf Kazzab story is a load of BS aswel. A story that Zaid denied on many occasions!
 
I think I am speaking for a lot of Indians when I say I dont mind him/despise him despite his rhetoric against anything and everything Indian, simply because he is - as many people put it - a terrific source of entertainment. I dont understand urdu and in some cases hindi, but I take the time to find videos of hamid with english subtitles so I can understand his words and they can provide one with pure, unadulterated comic relief.

As for the Jewish conspiracy theories involving Facebook (!), gotta love those kids. :72:

ok Ill give my two cents:

what i think of Zaid:

when i first heard him I was intrigued. Here was a guy who was really standing up for his country..being proud to be called a Pakistani..can somebody on this forum name me any media journo (other than Mosh Zaidi) who has openly stood up as a proud Pakistani? we eitehr have the nusrat javed types who still lament Zulfi Bhutto, or the Geo style propagandanistas who spout the American line..but here we had a defence analyst who was not afraid to speak his mind and promote his analysis...it was refreshing..

now what do i think of him? passionate, seems genuine, and seems like a good man..I know a few people who went to meet him in pindi and they spoke highly of his manners, and genuine desire to try and get a message across.

However he can be seen as "hyper" nationalistic. My criticism towards him is based on his unflinchy desire to ignore the mistakes of our forces (I am pro forces by the way)..we must be able to analyse our mistakes so that we can fix them..

granted he has been critical of our afghan policy during the 90's but he doesnt really criticise specific events etc preferring to see things from a different angle which is fine. It gives us a different persepctive.

His theories:

I prefer to sepearate the my likes and dislikes of him from his analysis. i am an analyst too so I know what good analysis is and what bad analysis. Zaid has a mixture. Some of teh stuff is good some not so. for example his future estimates predictions are not a very good analysis but with some decent bits within. His analysis of teh war on terror and american motivations and strategies is pretty spot on.

The zionists/conspiracy/theories etc. accusations defamation:

look the indiand dont like him. if India dropped a bomb un us the indians would deny it was them and call it Pakistani moaning and victimhood. Ive lived,worked and socialised with indians. My conclusion is in general they dont liek Pakistanis..some do and I have very close friends who are cool. But ive met a good majority who dont. the only thing stopping them from having a go at us in the UK is mutual benefit and the **** Raj. So it doesnt bother me when Indians say what they want about Zaid.

What bothers me is the defamation of the man himself rather than his message. disect his analysis and thus criticse him..dont defame him personally. That is just silly..

He also lacks tact and subtlety but then thats his choice.

Overall i think he is a good addition to the discourse and we should allow him to speak so that we can have a myriad of views out there!

Please explain how Zaid and his supporters like you can sleep comfortably at night, knowing well that Pakistan Army which Zaid and his lot so revere and exholt is taking cash payments from the americans for being america's rented mercenaries and also for letting CIA/XE run amock in Pakistan, this too when Zaid is the biggest basher and critic of the same americans who have rented Pakistan Army's services...

How can you lot reconcile this blatant contradiction/hyporcisy/dichotomy
 
^ I personally believe that the top brass of our Army are puppets of America and thus are traitors but this does not mean that I am against the entire Army. There are black sheep in every organization. Our Army is our strength and I will support it no matter who is heading it. One day Inshallah we will find a patriot chief who will kick out all these American terrorists out of Pakistan.

Regarding Zaid yes I agree with him but he is responsible for his own actions. I am not his spokesman, you should better ask him personally for his views on how he sleeps at night?
