LONDON: London’s iconic red double-decker buses are carrying brand Pakistan on the roads of Central London, the hub of world tourists. This ultimate branding campaign is running under the theme of “Emerging Pakistan” and will continue for four weeks.

Tens of thousands of people will get to see the London buses daily. During four weeks, millions will see these buses depicting the diversity and beauty of Pakistan.

Great to see this. Hopefully Londoners will visit Pakistan.

Probably worth something, the maximum number of foreign citizens visiting Pakistan are British ones.

Just got to London this morning for a training course and saw one of these down main road by Euston Station. Stood out from the line of red buses.

Did the bus look good?

It's a shame they didn't have some food item on the photos as well.

Looks really nice, it gives people a simplistic but nice view of what Pakistan is like.

I'd say yes. But that's me being biased as I like mountain walking; the bus had a scenic mountain background.

If the main purpose of the advertisation is to attract tourists, I don't think food pictures will work. Tourists usually travel to see landmarks, not food, right?

P.S Whilst walking along the main road, (next to a tourist centre?) I saw a pedal rikshaw. Hoping to do some exploring tomorrow evening, see what else is to be found in this overcrowded capital.

Land of Beautiful Faces? Doesn't that sound odd?

Why not just Land of Beauty? since they have some landscapes in there.

It should simply say Emerging Northern Pakistan. We can't even protect Chinese workers and our citizens, now they are inviting more people. Local authorities are so powerless and incompetent that military had to deploy 15000 troops to protect Chinese workers. Are they going to make a safe bubble in North?

That would be like advertising the UK by showing only the beauty of England. The advert should also include beauty spots of other provinces as well. Leadership starts at the top, in NS we have the worst and most selfish leader in our history. He is the one to blame for the poor security situation in Northern area's as well. Not for a minute do I believe India or it's people want a prosperous Pakistan.

Looks nice what's with the tagline though? Unless beauty is skin deep and everyone is beautiful.

Anyone thinks Pak is going through a rebranding similar to what India went in early 2000s?

The real Pakistan :)

maybe should only use lahore because as someone said, Lahore is the only safe city in Pakistan, no international matches can be held else where

maybe the travel agents are instructed to advice all potential tourists to lahore for 'safety reasons'?

so why advertise pakistan

try to provide basic facility of life to the poor people first and try to make rest of pakistan safe before coming up with this ad

Pakistan has many spectacularly beautiful tourist destinations. It also has many groups eager to kidnap Western tourists. Tourism is the ideal industry for countries like Pakistan, Egypt etc. which have a lot of unemployed labor willing to work and entrepreneurs to create the infrastructure. However, the country needs to get rid of the jihadi groups if tourism is to grow.

I was in Egypt a couple of months ago. Wonderful properties by the Nile, but very few tourists. The day I left there were bomb blasts in the church in Alexandria. Besides the victims of the blast, the others who suffer are those who work in the tourism industry.
