Amid the rising debate surrounding the H-1B visa category, which is largely dominated by Indian nationals, American citizens have continued launching a barrage of hate-comments like “Deport all Indians.” In the meantime, the Hindu faith, which remains the largest religion in India, has also recently come under repeated attacks in the US, as widely depicted on the Internet.

Absolutely beautifully stated! This is one of the reasons I was against supporting Trump in some of the threads here since the 2021-2023 times. As Pakistani (and muslim) Americans we felt completely stabbed in the back and punched in the gut when we saw some of the non-US based Pakistanis here supporting Trump. To us it felt like their hatred for "liberals" was higher than their love for fellow muslims and it was a betrayal. You can view some of those threads even today to see which non-US Pakistanis made such statements. Now that the white power MAGA is coming home to roost and have its global effect, they are all conveniently silent.

Our greatest allies are decided during moments of despair and in our (muslim Americans) moments of despair prior to the 2024 elections we were abandoned and betrayed by the non-US based Pakistanis from even anonymous forum support.

However no need to hate like this esp for a people whose ancestors committed open genocide against the natives and now consider it their birthright to prevent others from migrating to the US. I am speaking from personal experience

There are many Indians who now come to Western countries with the intent to return to India. They get work visas through India affiliated recruitment agencies - they charge dirt cheap rates because they know they will be sharing accommodations in Western countries and will return to India. They are committing a lot of crimes too.

The Indians who are exemplary citizens in the Western countries are living their with the intent of not leaving their adopted countries. They care about those Western countries and don't burn down the houses of their neighbors on Diwali with the fire crackers. They go to parks for fireworks.

Things got really bad during the COVID. Westerners were hesitating to go back to work and employers wanted cheap labor. The governments were spending money excessively. Countries like Canada turned to their immigration policies for the influx of the labor and students. it has not gone well.

How bad it has been? In a country like Canada, we have foodbanks for the struggling people. If you don't have a job, you can go to the foodbanks to get groceries for free. This way you can get a temporary relief for your family.
Canada also allows international students to come to the country for education. These students are required to maintain a bank deposit/reserve of dozens of thousands dollars, to prove that they can survive financially in Canada while studying.
You know what these students were doing? They were going to the foodbanks for free food and posting videos on the SM too. Videos had titles like, "how to get free food in Canada." they were getting millions of views and making money off SM too while technically stealing food from the foodbanks. The word got spread out. Eventually the foodbank managers started to turn away the Indian students and other students in general. These Indians were not doing it on a random day. They were basically using the foodbank for their monthly groceries. Because of these dishonest and morally deaf people, other students (including the desperate Indian students too) were no longer being helped by the foodbanks.

In summary, these Indians with no intent of staying in Western countries permanently are treating their hosts countries like a tissue paper. The Indians who have chosen to live in the West permanently treat their adopted country with respect, mostly. Nevertheless, the hosts can't distinguish the difference. A lot of criticism of Indians is not based on their religion or skin color. Only bigots do that. The problem is that even the sane Westerners are noticing many things they don't like about the Indian behavior. It's a problem for us Pakistanis because they can't tell the difference.

I use biryani with both hands and spoon. It depends on where I am eating.

If at home, I use hands.

If outside, I use spoon.

I don't believe it's that common amongst Pakistanis. It was seen as a bit paindu, both by Pakistani in Pakistan and abroad.
