“We will give our 100 per cent on the field but I would like to request the fans to keep praying for us"

“The last two matches were disappointing for us as well as the entire nation. But the team did well today and hopefully we can carry on with the same momentum."

“I’m happy with my own performance as well. Thanks to Allah Almighty.”

“There was a missing link in our bowling attack but that role has been fulfilled nicely by Wasim Jr,”

“He is a plus point in our bowling especially ahead of our two remaining matches.”

“Shaheen, Naseem, Haris and the rest of the bowlers are also doing well as expected. Shadab Khan did well in the previous match and today as well. He is a very important member of our side"

Has any Pakistan player ever given any actual insight on a topic? Repeated phrases passing through generations.

We are the most mediocre we have ever been as a batting unit since this guy has been one of our main players

Another astonishing year for Rizwan. If only we had a couple of decent batsmen to complement his consistency we wouldn't be on the first flight home.

We have an ATG wicketkeeper who will give 150% on the field every time he steps out.

Poor rizwan very consistent but his game plan has been found out since last T20 world cup

We are proud of you Rizwan , results are not because of one players performance but the team.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he asked the PCB to record this message

I'd love to see Pakistan batting performances pre and with Rizwan.

My own feeling is: we are static. Neither up nor down.

Will be great to see some numbers - wins, averages, strike rates.

That will take it beyond opinions.

The same with useless mediocre players like Sir Bhuvi sobers, Sir nowesh avesh, Sir harshal halwa, kedar freeloader jadhav in the indian team

“I am very happy with my performance”

Dude, any pitch, any opposition, any attack

You can’t bat on the offside!!

How are you happy with your own performance???

Rizwan was at zero not out on 8 balls in a practice match against Afghanistan. He might have been happy with that performance as well

He needs work on his offside game and acceleration. Him and Babar are exactly the same.

He doesn’t have the game for these conditions.

Called it when I saw him hop around to the gentle medium pace of Fazal Farooqui in the warm up game. Looks completely out of his depth against the bounce and pace of these tracks.

Not just this, but also needs to adjust and understand the situation when he is batting. Teams are slowly working him out/have worked him out.

He needs to be more innovative and ruthless.

How come can he talk like this. Team is out of the WT20 and lost to Zimbabwe

Such arrogance for doing nothing in this World Cup.

Rizbar and his friends should be shown the door to realise representing ur country is an honour. And you can’t just fill in players who are ur friends and cousins.

Exactly jumping , dancing, diving for runs in Aus and talk like he played an inns like Kohli did against them.

How detached from reality is this guy? Does he not realize that we're effectively out of the WC? Listening to him, one would think that we have a long way to go in this tournament!

On top of that, he keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. We couldn't care less about your jazba, or your belief in God. Produce the damn results!

The guy has batted like a tailender in this WC but speaks like he is Bradman!

Fans like this only care about their favorite player, and couldn’t care less about the team. Singing his praises after he contributed nothing with the bat in a t20 WC.

If this is how you celebrate his failure, can’t even imagine how you were celebrating when he was picking apart B and C grade bowling attacks in random bilateral series no one will remember.

His strike rate in the T20 World Cup so far is 100.

Do I need to say any more!

Going by this statement, it shows to me his attitude and seriousness towards cricket has gone in a different direction. Tableeghi effect I wonder?

Now lets contrast this interview to the one he had with PakPassion around 6 or 7 years ago. After the 2015 WC, he was given opportunities in the ODI side. He was then discarded for underperforming with the bat. When asked about this, he acknowledged that his performances were not good enough and didn't give any excuses. He promised he'd work hard on improving his game.

Look at the change in mentality. It's blindingly obvious he's a different person now and his focus isn't on cricket.

Obviously he does not care about Pakistan

Rizwan's days as the no.1 T20 batsman are counted, and rightfully so.
There's a light years gap between SKY's skills & execution and Rizwan's.

Dont ask negative questions :afridi

Watching Rizwan of late, he seems to be struggling on these Aussie pitches.

His technique is centred around low bouncing pitches and the bounce and pace of the Australian pitches has caused him a lot of problems.

As opposed to the rest of the line up who are smashing sixes at will? Be fair.

The likes of Williamson, Warner, Shakib have all struggled too.

Not sure why the microscope is on Rizwan when this is the first series in forever where he hasn't performed...and we're only talking about a sample of three games here.

Well he is regarded as one of the best Pakistani batters and number 1 in the T20I rankings isn't he, so one has the right to expect better from him surely.

The PCB needs to get to grips with reality.

You will not hoodwink us by wheeling out a righteous rizwan statement, or a babar team talk, or some nice words of encouragement from Hayden, or a reminder about babar and Rizwan’s stats.

Honestly I rather open with the youngster wicket keeper Haris at this point atleast he shows intent at the top and looks to score quick

With this attitude I hope this guy never becomes the captain.

The team is being slapped around and partly because of his stat padding and he says "I'm happy with my performance".

We have a knack of producing absolute clowns.

Babar Azam SR in 2022 is 129
Rizwan - 123

Both openers in a team cannot have such poor SR's in T20s.
SKY is on a different planet when compared to these two. His average this year has been 42 at a SR of 183.
Virat Kohli SR 140 at an average of 53.

Holy cow!
Thats quite a big difference.

Did he debut so late because he hit this insane form of batting so late in his career or was he being kept out by inferior players?

Probably has 3-5 more years, maybe 6 unless he’s a late bloomer Misbah type.

He should have been in the LOI side atleast 5 years ago. Guys like Kedhar, Rayudu etc cut the line. Rahane also made a comeback. I guess that is on the selectors. His FC stats are not too shabby either.

His stance tells you a lot about how he will struggle in these conditions. All these boys like Rizwan, Haider and Asif Ali with their crouched stance, will struggle to shift their weight back in time for the ball to arrive on these pitches.

You can’t tweak this sort of stuff a few weeks before a tournament. They should have started prepping for this WC right after the last one ended.

WTH we going home next week lost to Zimbabwe off al teams and a score off 49 against mighty Netherlands and he is happy with his own performance:facepalm

Off course he is, anyone who actually bothers to watch his style of play would know thia.

Sadly it seems to be almost sacrilegious to be critical of rizwan. The fact that he is satisfied with his own performance is such a massive indictment.

The Pakistanis in Australia should boo him. He is the biggest reason why Pakistan T20 team is in such dire state and yet he is so selfish to only care about his stats. The PCB screwed up big time by making him an opener.

It was Misbah ul Haq

He needs to be roasted on that pavilion show for his rubbish for sight into the game

Misbah tried to do the same with Imam ul Haq too but that plan was quickly discarded.
