Pakistan team captain Sarfraz Ahmed has shown satisfaction over his performance as team’s captain during the last three years.

“I am satisfied with my performance as the team’s captain. The team performed really well in last matches of World Cup against top teams,” Sarfraz told the cricket committee which held its meeting at Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.

Sarfraz along with Mickey Arthur attended the first high-profile meeting of Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) cricket committee. According to the sources, they both were clearly satisfied with their performance.

On the other hand, ex-chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq also attended the meeting and presented a report based on his performance during the last three years.

“During my tenure, players like Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, and Fakhar Zaman came under the limelight. I had tried my best to provide equal opportunities to the players,” he told the cricket committee.

It is pertinent to mention here that cricket committee headed by MD Wasim Khan conducted a meeting to overview the performance of Pakistan U19, U16, men’s and women’s cricket teams.

The advisory committee will brief the PCB’s chairman Ehsan Mani about the meeting and will suggest Mani on several issues including the appointment of captain, coaching staff and selection committee.

Lol talking about equal opportunity when it’s been proven he did everything to get Hafeez and Malik in the team.

Don’t even need to talk about how he thinks his performances are fine. The World Cup hid some of the cracks in this team. The captain thinks all is well, it’s not a good sign.

How can you be satisfied with a 5th place finish in the world cup? How can you be satisfied with a ranking of #6 in test cricket? The only thing he has done well in is T20s but we all know why, we are the only ones who take T20s seriously.

Test cricket is probably the biggest disappointment in Sarfaraz’s tenure.

Well, if he's satisfied with that then it's quite clear he isn't the man to take Pakistan forward.

If he is satisfied with us losing our unbeaten home test series record under him, if he is satisfied with us losing pretty much every match against the top sides in ODIs and if he is satisfied with the 5th place finish at the world cup, then he clearly is not the man to captain us anymore.

The fans are not satisfied with Sarfraz setting such a low bar for himself.

You can have a poor team and make mistakes but saying that you are satisfied with a mediocre performance is not acceptable.

What if Pakistan had qualified for Semifinals? This bunch would be giving each other trophies.

I used to think this guy is humble but his arrogant statements are really hard to swallow. This guy needs to be kicked from any format of the team.
Really really disappointed with him.

Good. He has made it easier for the PCB to get rid of him

Champions Trophy won, #1 ranked T20 side and now he needs to focus on rebuilding the test side.

Great record as captain in U19 and domestic level.

Pakistan are fortunate to have him as leader and he would be very proud of his career achievements.

Best captain Pakistan ever had. Should continue till 2027 WC and after that he can retire if he wants to.

Issko Sharam bhi Nahi aati. Sharamful comments to say the least. I really hope they kick him out.He is just the worst and he thinks he is some legend. Awful player full of himself.

43 runs in 31 balls needed with 1 wicket in hand and at that point he gave up against Australia in the WC. I know it was an impossible target but it was the most crowdly and gutless act I have seen from so called leader.

He has shown zero quality of a leader as a player, most the time hiding behind tail enders. No real authority.

His fans are blind and their opinions should be ignored

No captain has any credibility if he cannot lead from the front. Time and again in crunch situations Sarfraz is nowhere to be seen.

I can point to countless examples but the two that stand out are the botched Abu Dhabi chases vs Sri Lanka and New Zealand that ruined our UAE Test record. When we desperately needed a captain's innings, Sarfraz bottled it.

In the World Cup he was a passenger and the bitter truth is if he wasn't skipper, he wouldn't merit selection.

Yet his despicable loyalists will blame anyone but Sarfraz - that Mickey is interfering too much, Inzamam is not giving the players he wants, the players are underperforming, he is victim of regional bias etc etc. The fact is as a batsman and a tactician he is inept except for T20s and pyjama leagues like PSL.

He is factually correct. Pakistan are a rubbish side and they have performed to their par capability. However, his reasons of being satisfied with Pakistan’s performances are different.
