I've tried the Kahuna 1000 (Players in Aus) and they were great. Really flexible and Nothing is going to hurt you unless your up against Shoaib Akhtar in his prime.

Just curious...how did u actually test the protection?

Hey Smasher.

the easiest way to do this is to use common sense.

Ive got all the gloves in front of me and the kahuna 1000 is my benchmark.

you look at the design, put the gloves on, have some throw downs with your friends in the nets, then take gloves off, look at them again and compare all the gloves. By simply touching and feeling the gloves you will see the kahuna 1000 gloves and the adidas that both scored 9/9 on the score card had superb level of padding on the inside of the fingers. The SG for example had a very low density foam and compressed very easily when squeezing the fingers. the kahuna had a much higher density / quality foam cushioning. then i also looked at how many fingers had an extra layer of hard surface layer. not sure what the softs manufacturers use. be it plastic or some other for of protection but the adidas and the kahuna had this secondary layer of protection on every finger, where as the the bottom scoring gloves only had them on the two bowling fingers.

so this is how i tested the protection on the batting gloves and i believe its the only way i could of done it and hope this is satisfactory for Pakpassion members.

i would love to say no animals were hurt during batting glove trials but it seem some cougars were killed!!!

SG makes Kookabura bats right? Do they also make Kookaburra Softs as well?:13:

If yes then is there any similarity between the Kookabura and SG gloves,pads,etc...?:20:

there is zero similarity between kookaburra and SG softs. its like mercedes and volkswagen, both german but worlds apart from each other.

also on the kookaburra / SG debate. ive been informed by kookaburra that they provide their own willow for their bats production and also they deny they have copied any of SG bats, rather that if there was any copying being done that it wasnt by kookaburra!!! make of that what you will.

:40:.......Wonder what SG will say about that..:21:

There is a huge price difference between Kookaburra and SG softs even if it is made at the same factory. There must be some difference in quality. Certainly in the past the Kookaburra gloves and pads have been top notch in my experience.
