Twenty overs of spin at Trent Bridge?
How does that work?
Curious.
Are u saying they should have more spin?
Or less spin?

Surprised by the calls to leave out Imad...i reckon he'll take the most wickets for us tomorrow ...definitely see him slipping a couple through the gate...
Trent Bridge is traditionally a citadel of seam and swing bowling. It's one place where Pakistan will miss Faheem Ashraf.Curious.

Whatta brilliant suggestion rofl!!!
Can you tell me last time when Shoaib Malik bowled 10 overs in a match?
Asif is'nt fantastic but still better than this loser Malik who is in the team due to connections than performances.
CS Inzamam mafia groupies are more than the kids he selected, likes of "Hafeez, Malik and Wahab there to screw our chances.
Arthur insistence on Faheem is due to Inzamam not picking a solid hitter batsman in 3 years of his term and concentrated on Akmal family and his nephew only.

It's a small ground, and spin bowling often ends up in the River Trent.
But on these grassless wickets with seamless balls, I think you need pace and height to avoid punishment. I would have had Shaheen Shah Afridi as a definite starter.
If I wanted to win a match at Trent Bridge, my team would look totally different to the squad, let alone the team!
1. Fakhar Zaman
2. Imam-ul-Haq
3. Babar Azam
4. Mohammad Rizwan (wk)
5. Umar Akmal
6. Asif Ali
7. Shadab Khan
8. Faheem Ashraf
9. Mohammad Amir
10. Wahab Riaz
11. Shahid Shah Afridi

It is a decent line up up until Shadab at 7.Good XI, though not sure what Faheem will do - he is just not good enough to fill the No. 8 role. Considering WIN's weakness against spin & Imad's success against them, I'll replace Imad for Faheem. 3 left arm pacers are too risky against like 6 left-handers - added Imad & Shadab also takes ball inwards to lefti, I'll pick Hasan here, but not sure whom to drop.
Who is your Captain if Sarfraz is dropped - I'll take Amir.
I disagree he does much better against righties than lefties. So I would prefer to play haris also. Also small ground he can be hit for 5 6 sixes and there goes his use. Better to play haris who will at least turn the ball.
It is a decent line up up until Shadab at 7.
Why would you have 3 pacers when you were pushing 2 pacers and as many spinners as possible
MehAbid ali - opener
khushdil shah - middle order
zafar gohar- left arm spinner
usman shinwari - left arm medium fast
the above players would have definitely helped pakistan.
I agree imam should be left out. Open with haris and fakhar. But this is NEVER going to happen. Mickey will leave out haris. For me the one that should sit out is Imam, Hafeez or Babar can open. Haris is good against pace and we need Asif and Imad down the order. This way we don't compromise on bowling and can sit out one accumulator. Imam is the weakest link.
Malik averages 14 in england
I look beyond the stats.
Been played in England since 2001 and averaging 13... Just got his highest score of 47 in 2019.
And suddenly Malik will turn around our fortunes.
Fans like you are the problem
Problem to what? I'm not a selector, nor did Malik make the playing 11.
Imam Ul Haq whose selection is nepotism based is not even as valuable as Malik. Malik is one of the best fielders in the team, can bowl too and his experience is invaluable.
If you just go based on stats there was no reason for Amir to be in the team either. Clearly, he defied all odds.
Pakistani fans just do not learn. Players like Imam, Hafeez, and Malik are necessary evils in a weak team. They are far reliable than flashy players like Fakhar, Asif, Shadab, etc.
That's because we know what Amir is capable of and has won us big matches.
What has Malik ever won us?
You’d pick Malik over Farhar?

Malik has to play in the remaining games
I dare someone to question his place in the side now
I assume you mean Fakhar. I will not have both of them going forward.
For this tournament, its an apple to orange comparison. Fakhar is an opener and Malik is a middle order batsman. Malik has a limited ceiling but you know what you will get from him. Fakhar has a higher ceiling but he fires like once in 4 times. At this point, he's pretty much a rich man's Afridi.

Malik is an exceptional player all around. I think he makes the cut based on his abilities as an all rounder and fielding.
Hafeez is another guy who doesn't exactly average 50 in England but his experience is worth his inclusion.
It's not all about who has won us matches. What has Imam won us?
So why has he been poor in England since 2001? Why hasn't he won us anything?
Hafeez I can see his value to the side as he has played some good innings in England.
What has Malik done in England? If this World Cup was in the SC then I would agree with you, Malik was dearly missed in the 2011 World Cup but 2019 with or without Malik is not going to make any difference.
Imam has already scored more runs in one series in England than Malik has in 18 years.
