That’s pushing it. Nepal has been disappointing since World T20 2014, havent seen them in any other icc events since. They need to get into the Asia cup T20 overthrowing UAE the team of migrants. Why doesn’t India help Nepal? By allowing Nepal A to play in the Ranji trophy? That way they’ll gain more experience.
 
I think, if not back up day, ICC should have back-up venues for this WC🤪

SAF won’t mind though if today’s game is washed out .... takes them out of bottom place!!!!!

The BCCI should have used their power here and not let the English talk.
It is obvious that this is not the ideal time to host an event as significant and enormous as the worldcup.More rain expected in the coming week.
 
The last two summers in England have largely been dry and humid especially during June. Third time lucky was stretching it a bit.

2017 CT 17 wasnt that dry, there were few rain effected matches in that tournament as well.

Fair enough. All these people do is just watch cricket on TV. Playing cricket in England is a beautiful, charming experience. Have patience, this World Cup will produce gems like some of the matches in 1999

June is statistically no wetter than August/September.
 
I hate these kind of matches. This is why hosting world cup in ENgland can be frustrating. One team in a do or die situation. Everybody wanted to see this match.

It's going to rain till Thursday and possibly on Saturday.
 
What a pathetic place to play cricket in, all matches this week will be rained off. If England had such a problem with rain they should have invested in retractable roofs before bidding for hosting rights of WC.

Sorry man, but this tournament is promising to be an absolute filthy disaster if this farce continues.

This is the World Cup, not some bilateral series. It might not seem like the weather is causing much damage to the teams at this early stage, but these points lost will definitely wreck atleast one team in terms of qualification.

One of the worst places to organize such a prestigeous tournament.

Building a cricket stadium with a retractable roof is completely unrealistic.
 
These kind of blunders must be stop from ICC. looks like ICC is not accountable to anyone but BCCI. ICC is only interested in the pockets not in the game.

even if ICC interested in pockets thn why they dont focus to build indoor stadiums.
 
How comes this has not yet been called off while Pak v SL was called off at 15:45 despite no rain and the sun being out for 1 and a half hours.
 
England is a small country. If it rains in one place odds are it will rain in most places. I enjoy matches that go the full distance here. But in an event like World cup having too many washouts is dampener.
 
What a farce. They should have a rain day between the last group game and the first Semi Final for the next world cup
 
Congratulations the rain won yet again. Rain is the best performing team at this year's WC.

ICC cant even plan the schedule of the WC taking into account the seasons of the countries.
 
Srilanka and England should never host another world cup.
 
So apparently 4 matches have been affected by rain? out of which two have been washed out.

Late May and early June have historically been pretty bad. Yes I agree that in Eng it can rain anytime but then atleast one can do the best he can to plan the tournament accordingly by taking into account the historical rainy months.
 
Funny thing is its also one of the longest WC since a long time and they decided Eng as the venue.

No deserving winner except rain if this carries on.
 
This WC has been compromised because of Ashes, ECB got extra greedy and decided to host both in the same year with Ashes getting the rain free season. Pathetic, hope we don't see a WC in England for the next 30 years.
 
If 5-6 more matches are washed out then it would be better to end this event at that very moment tbh.
 
I hope many more matches get washed out so that it becomes a totally pointless world cup. It has already been a farce so far. They need to restart the whole thing again in a different country.

This is nonsense. As I've already pointed out, statistically there is hardly any difference in rain between June/July and August/September.
