danchristian has withdrawn from PSL6.. leaving Now

He represents Karachi Kings. Don't know actual reason

He is all drama who plays to the galleries. Once you look beyond the “I left England to help Pakistan” drama and the fancy accent, he showcases no leadership qualities.

Luckily he is going to leave soon.
 
This is a full blown crisis now. Let's see how Mani and Wasim handle this.
Dan Christian had decided to leave. If more foreign players opt to leave, it is shambles.
 
The bubbles are a joke.

I saw a kid sitting with m. Nawaz playing a game. Obviously that kid wwsnt part of the bubble.

Javed afridi has also been a culprit aswell. Pcb did not show a strong hand here

The owners/brand ambassadors are not part of the biosecure bubble, hence they should not have been allowed to mingle with the players in the first place.

It is basic common sense.

Amazing leadership and show him a competency by Wasim Khan. Please give him the pay rise that he is after. Maybe with some additional bonuses as well.
 
Will be disastrous if the PSL is cancelled. The PCB should have aggressively pursued Covid Vaccinations for the players from the beginning of the tournament
 
I think it's better to postpone the league for now. Too much damage has been done
 
PCB got pushed around by the owners who seemed to have mingled with the players along with their guests. This is no bubble at all, if people from outside the bubble can mingle with the players.

I dont know if the hotel staff etc were part of the bubble or not.

Dan Christian's withdrawal has set a precedent.
 
I will be very surprised to see the PCB find a window to complete the PSL. There are too many matches to make up. I am fuming inside, they should have thought of the vaccinations before the tournament. This will hurt the PCBs and PSLs image very badly. Forget about foreign teams willing to come to Pakistan as they will cite a lack of trust and faith in PCBs bio secure bubbles

Making an exception for Wahab and Sammy because the Franchise threatened to boycott the match set the precedent. Heads need to roll for this. And did the PCB just wake up to the vaccination idea in the middle of the tournament? This is the second psl tournament that they have screwed up now

PCB should have told the Zalmi guys, if you don't play, your team is out of the PSL.

BCCI banned SRK from the stadium for alleged misbehaviour.

1) The survival rate is not 99.99%, people need to stop Lying about things it takes 2 seconds to disprove

2) There are a thousand more long term complications in survivors, which people gladly ignore. and that is as high as in 20% of infected people. And very long term effect of a virus which forms blood clots is not even studied yet

3) Its because of this lax attitude and lies that humanity couldnt control it initially. Now the tournament is also suspended

SRK would not have the audacity to pull KKR out of the tournament. SRK is simply one of the shareholders. KKR brand is quite sophisticated, up there with RCB, CSK and MI. Other teams - not so much.

Pretty sure Zalmi owner had the audacity to pull his team out and that would result in drama but ofcourse PCB should not have allowed it.

SRK is the majority owner of KKR. He wouldn't have the audacity, because BCCI would have thrown him and his team out of IPL in a second.

Yeah that is what I said. And even if SRK is the majority owner, the backlash he would have faced from the other shareholders and fans would be massive.
 
I think PCB should now on be more strict.....this has again pushed back the effort to bring international cricket back home....worse we may again go back to 2010s era of playing everything in UAE.... COVID is the new dampner of most sports......the franchise should be penalised......seriously.....on another note this will be a hindrance of good foreign players participation in PSL in future.......so this negligence has severe repercussions.......

Still i. With our president......he has done noteworthy job till now.....he can't spoon-fed everybody and this is a learning curve for PCB and PSL in particular......hope from now on atleast some seriously will prevail
 
None of this should come as a surprise to anyone considering how no precautions were taken to ensure there actually was a biosecure bubble in the first place.

Team owners like Javed Afridi should be ashamed of themselves but PCB should be held accountable because it was their job to put the foot down and keep everyone in line. They are most responsible for this debacle.
