//Mods - hopefully this is something light-hearted amidst the carnage of the past week.

Alright you kids from Sialkot and elsewhere - let's see if you get it right this time! Please put up all your photos and videos of tanks making their way to the border, nuclear missile tips being dusted off, and fighter jets humming above.

Has their been a power shutdown yet? Has fire been exchanged by both sides? How many casualties? There has been a grand total of 0 in this quote-unquote 'WAR', so the war mongers on both sides are feeling a little let down.

:batman:

There was complete blackout last night but everything is normal now. Guess Modi has learnt his lesson.

There are hardly any war mongers in Pakistan unlike India. Pakistanis have been far mature in response to the war rhetoric from the other side of the fence.

That shows you how a single leader can shape the thought process of the whole nation.

These twitter idiots will say anything to get few likes and retweets.

Even arnab is nothing in front of them.

Very nice.

Hopefully the next blackout will be cos of load shedding. Now that is something worthy of going onto a war footing for

I can be wrong but i think it's over and we can all go to sleep...

Hints:

India finally gives Pakistan dossier.

Uncle Sam talk about some behind the scene development.

Imran announce to release WC Abhi.

Crown Prince of UAE calls both IK and Modi.

Saudi Foreign Minister coming to Pak tomorrow (he just returned from Pak 2 weeks ago).

Now connect these dots and you will get your answer if you are nor arnab goswami...

Yep. There is kind a status quo where both sides can chest thump for a bit. Imran gained a lot of political capital in this until the statement on POW release. But Pakistanis will realise it's a pragmatic solution shortly even though it was a bit weak. It will be interesting to see how much capital Modi gained in this for his election. It surely has been a roller coaster ride with euphoria, loss of face and then to saving face.

Looking at most of Indian channels i feel they are trying their best turn it into a Modi and BJP victory even if the world is saying the opposite these channels are really gonna influence Indian elections and i am sure Modi will win again. If Modi wins again it's gonna be interesting because IK will still have another 4 years left in office and Modi will have another term of 4 years that means both of them will lead their countries till 2023 so it's hard to predict if anything positive will come out before 2023...

After this? I doubt that Pakistan and India will have cordial relations for the next decade. There is always the threat of some oppressed Kashmiri killing his oppressors or some lunatic terrorist killing some poor civilians. Now that India have set a precedent, they will always be under pressure to respond in the same way.

Imran and Modi are both dynamic leaders. I mean look at Nawaz Sharif or Manmohan Singh. U get the idea. It's leaders like these that can go above and beyond. If Imran takes action on terrorists, if Modi wins, it could be the best phase of Indo Pak relations. At the end of the day, both are ambitious and can't go against public considering they aren't dictators. But they have the ability to keep their parties in tow and influence the public.

There is always hope we had the best relations with India under Musharraf after Kargil.

The last night was actually very scary. As Imran said in his speech that there was threat of a massive attack on Pakistan.
Logistics movement had started towards border areas. Hospitals were put on red alert. Cantonment areas were blacked out, people residing in cantonments were asked to light minimal of light to save energy. You can guess for what purpose!

Probably, United States put some sense into our neighbors!

Kinda agree with you the ability to take right decision instead of playing for the gallery is the difference between a leader and politician

India have set a precedent that after something calamitous happens in Kashmir they will consider attacking Pakistan. Where would that lead us only time would tell.

Pulwama happened almost 2 and half years after Uri. Wonder how long it takes for the next attack on Indian army occupying Kashmir?

If Modi wins elections we would again be at risk of a nuclear war. Modi is going to get more tough in Kashmir, which in turn is going to produce more Kashmiri insurgents and the likelihood of more attacks on Indian forces there. And that leads us to another Surgical strike 3 and possibly a bigger conflict that time.

Although any other Indian regime is unlikely to solve the Kashmir dispute, the nationalistic and fascists tendencies of RSS/BJP/Modi aggravates the Kashmir situation.

Playing for the gallery is a curse everybody has to deal with in democracy. Otherwise there are no votes.

So what's the solution? There is only one. Remove the trust deficit. Both countries should be able to trust each other on their approach to terrorism. If they do, any random terrorist won't test the resolve of both countries. Once the dialogue is open, Kashmir along with every issue can be discussed.

Pakistan and India have a common enemy and a common ally. If they want to be smart that is

Terrorism is the common enemy and Kashmir is a common ally. They are both intricately related though. A joint operation to weed out terrorism will enable a peaceful Kashmir and prosperous Pakistan and India.
