India’s recent run at ICC tourneys is absolutely insane.

June 2024 - ICC WT20s 🏆
Feb 2025 - ICC Women’s U-19 🏆
March 2025- ICC Champions Trophy 🏆
Nov 2025 - ICC Women’s CWC 🏆
Jan 2026 - ICC U-19 CWC 🏆

Can they make 6 in a row at ICC WT20 2026?

FIVE ICC trophies in 19 months!!!

Has any cricketing nation pulled this off?

Had it not been 2023 wc loss, it certainly would have been Australia-esque. I’d India can roll on and keep winning straining till 2027 wc. They would equal if not surpass Aussie insane run from 99-2007

They won 3 ODI CWCs back to back.
That’s absolutely bonkers.

We respect that.
That can’t be matched.

Even in 2019 they were the table toppers. Semi final played over a period of 2 days. That is where India got unlucky. In 2015 they were toppers in their group I think.

Need a mens ODI WC.

The rest are those tournaments that Indian fans themselves call nothing tournaments, if another teams win it.

For a side to be truly great it needs it hands on the ODI WC. Rest of these will be icing on the cake but the big prize is what defines a side as real winners of that era.

Even recently I believe Cummins held WT20 ( maybe Finch was captain), ODI WC, and WTC.

That's better than this Indian record. Which is a fine one too but without ODI WC it's lacking.

I still remember those pre 2024 days here where usual suspects used to moan how India never wins any ICC event due to IPL.

Some oversmart fellas even used to blame our beloved Modi ji

:kp

IND always wins the u-19 tournaments. I dont remember the last time they lost? Was that against us in 2020?

ODI WC and WTC is their next hurdle. However, as long as WTC is held in England it will be difficult for IND to win. Any of the SENA team + Pakistan can beat them there.

Agreed.
We had a great shot at the big daddy tournament in 2024 but didn’t post a good total. That still hurts.

In 2019 also, we could have won the semi final.

We are far behind at the moment, finishing 8th and 9th in WTC so can only dream of it.

India is actually a better team in SENA than in Asia currently. Their batting and bowling is more suited to it. If they get to WTC they have a chance. Overall test cricket is quite weak for all countries so any of Eng Sa IND or AUS has a shot.

ODI WC in South Africa will be difficult, again those 4 countries will have a shot but can add Kiwis there too.

Many people were saying the same even after 2023 shock.loss. They are one tournament win away from starting a streak

Yeah these U19 wins are equal to 3 odi wcs?

Congrats to the deserving winners. India was arguably the best team of the tournament.

Sooriyavanshi 175 off 80 balls. What a phainty!!

Agree with that. But the problem is the ODI format itself is dying. Has made the ODI WC somewhat less desirable for fans. I bet the next ODI WC is not watched as much as the previous WC's. Will be nowhere near the T20 WC numbers.

In fact, it is quite possible that the next couple of ODI WC's could be the last.

ODI is a dying format. WTC, no cares about. The test format unfortunately is already dead. Both these hold less to no significance in present day cricket. Even less as time moves on. T20 is the present and future.

India dominated three world cups in a row in league state and lost out on final hurdle. it is nothing to do with lack of skill. India annihilated 10 teams in a row. 2023 Imdia shoudl ave crushed Australia. We lost Pandya then there is mad obsession with playing SKy instead of Jaiswal who was in peak form.

It's not dificult for the riches of them all to buy some piece of land every few months.

Its well deserved. They have played good cricket. The biggest achievement is their womens wc. Women sports has been dominated by Western countries, so to watch a 3rd world nations women side stand up and perform, it shows that India is investing in the right areas in sports.

When i was in school in the west, it was always interesting to see how the white and black females would do well in sports but females from desi families struggled. They tend to lack the confidence in sports.

So, women sports domination is a massive massive achievement.

One of the reasons why Chak de India was a womens hockey movie and not a womens cricket movie is because no one would had believed that the womens cricket team of india would pull this off.

I wish the arrogance did not exist, so that atleast these women atheles of India could be idolized in Pakistan aswell.

Massive respect to their womens side.

As for the thread, its not a streak cause they lost the test championship.

Special thanks to Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji, who revived Sanatan in Bharat and filled every Indian with immense pride for the nation and for the civilization.

But the man of the hour, Honourable ICC President Shri Jay Shah ji, who has been a visionary leader for Indian cricket and now for global cricket. He gave Indian cricket stability, comfort and self belief to compete for trophies.

Remarkable stuff from neighbours. Respect where it is deserved.

2023 ODI CWC Final - Lost
2024 T20 WC Final - Won
2025 CT Final - Won
2026 - T20 WC Final - Result awaited

This is a phenomenal dominant run by neighbours

Neighbours??!??

Arent you indian..

A 6th consecutive one tomorrow. NZ will submit within a few overs from an assault upfront by Abhishek, Samson, Kishan, Surya, Pandya, Tillak, Dube. NZ are happy to be losers and very soft in finals.

It mostly difficult due to it held right after IPL, means india don't have time to prepare...

It must be really embarrassing for you to admit vegetarians winning 6 tournaments while meat devouring Pakistan cricket team can’t even get into knockouts?

Women’s trophy was good. Definitely. Breaking the streak of Aussie men.

Yes I said men. They are basically men in a woman’s body.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they were on peds

Under 19 don’t care tbh. Means nothing. Development into quality players is key

But why has our neighbours struggled in tests since 2023
Haven’t won the mace for 3 years now

T20 WC’s are the least you expect India to win, with the IPL etc They should have won at least 5 of these World Cups by now. But maybe it was just winning that first trophy in a decade to break the deadlock….

@Rana dekh count kar kitni trophy jeet chuki meri team ...

6 ICC championships in 21 months is an insane run.
Never in the history of ICC has any nation won that much in 21 months.

If there were 6 ICC events in 4 years in 2000's, Aussies probably would've won 10-15 more trophies.

So many World Cups now. It is ridiculous (6 World Cups/CTs in 4 years).

Anyway, India haven't won the ODI WC since 2011 which is like the main/OG WC. They are winning smaller events mainly. :inti

Former chief selector Muhammad Wasim, speaking during an interview:

“We generally try to find faults and float conspiracy theories whenever we lose to India, or they do well in big events. We need to stop that and accept their team is a top side, and we must try to improve ourselves by learning from our mistakes."

Ex-Test captain and batting legend Javed Miandad reacted to India's World Cup win:

“Their team (India) is now reaping the benefits of a strong process-driven cricket structure. If you look at the talent they are producing now, it is because of their strong structure. They are not short on batters, spinners or fast bowlers and their young players are result-driven and have game awareness."

He pointed out that a winning culture and mentality in a team’s dressing room often lead to titles, which explains India’s success, including last year’s Champions Trophy.

“We had this environment in our dressing room once, and we won frequently."

Although they didn't win 2023 final was a great campaign. In all the events INdia was dominating 2023 the most. So that upset has definitely inspired India to win more. 2022 semi final is the starting point. Rohit sharma single mindedly turned around by changing the mindset by playing selflessly right through 2023 world cup.

Pakistan haven't won a single Test match in SENA since 2018.

Neither are they dominant at home , having only managed to draw the series with Windies etc.

It's a big stretch to even assume they are going to make a WTC final any time soon.

I think the Australian dominance was infinitely more impressive, it happened in multiple different countries and they did not have home advantage even once during that period.

Had there been more tournaments during their prime they would have probably won double of what they did. I cant think of any other team that you were genuinely scared to face.

Imad Wasim speaking during a TV SHOW:

"We always hear people saying that umpires favour India or that they prepare spin-friendly pitches, but you have to agree that in this tournament, the pitches were very well balanced. Sometimes, the conditions were even against India, but they still managed to deliver a dominating performance.”

"So, we should not always nitpick or claim that India is looking for an escape route. As a cricketing nation, we have to praise them for their performance and accept the fact that they are bigger than us (Pakistan) and many other teams."
