Seven people have been killed during an explosion near the Quetta Press Club located on Shahrah-i-Adalat on Monday, confirmed the Balochistan government spokesman Liaqat Shahwani.

According to Quetta Civil Hospital spokesperson Waseem Baig, 19 others have been injured in the incident.

The blast took place as a demonstration was ongoing near the press club. Several vehicles parked in the vicinity have also been damaged due to the impact of the blast.

Security personnel have cordoned off the area and are conducting a search operation. Officials added that the nature of the blast has not yet been ascertained.

May the departed RIP. Can this be related to the possible deal between Taliban and the US?
Or maybe our other ‘friendly’ neighbour ve more Kalbushans busy in the area to create anarchy.

RIP

This is really getting out of hand.

Whenever i hear about a terror attack in Pakistan, 90 percent of the time it's in Balochistan and 70 percent of the time its in Quetta.

What's the government doing?

Just a few days before PSL now and this happens. Of course PSL can’t be compared to lives lost but the timing of this was very fishy.

This won't affect the PSL as none of the matches are being played in Balochistan.

The major cities of Pakistan are Norway compared to Balochistan in terms of security.

Balochistan is what Pakistan was in 2009. Really sad to see.

It still happend in Pakistan and it can create fear among the foreigners who are in Pak for PSL.

Balochistan borders with southern Afghanistan so it's no surprise that terrorist related incidents are still occurring there. Until Afghanistan isn't cleared, nothing will change for us because they have a safe home with our neighbours

Evil act from evil people. Come on ISI deal with these guys. Make them look over their shoulder wherever they are.

Balochistan is sparsely populated and attacks in Quetta happen on regular basis. Not too long ago some terrorists walked into Police HQ in Quetta and killed many. Securing a vulnerable city like Quetta is basic precautionary measure and not 100% security.

What do these terrorists in Balochistan want? I am assuming it is Taliban and not BLA.

They need choppers monitoring that city at all times. They need to think out of the box.

Very sad that this has happened - May ALLAH have khair
