The 80th meeting of the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) Board of Governors was held today at the National Cricket Academy's board room, chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. During the meeting, measures were discussed to improve the standard of Pakistani cricket.
Several proposals were considered to enhance the team's performance in international cricket. Briefings were also given on steps to promote women's cricket at the grassroots level and on the domestic cricket structure and how to nurture young talent.
The meeting was also briefed on the upgrade of the High-Performance Centers. The updated financial rules of the PCB were approved, as was the re-appointment of auditors for the current fiscal year. Procedural changes were also approved to adopt the Global Anti-Corruption Code and to streamline the scrutiny process for clubs.
Decisions from the 78th and 79th meetings of the Board of Governors were also ratified. Members of the Board of Governors who attended the meeting included Anwar Ghani, Zaheer Abbas, Sajjad Ali Khokhar, Zafarullah, Tanveer Ahmed, Muhammad Ismail Qureshi, Tariq Sarwar, and others.
Officials from various departments also attended, including PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, PSL CEO Salman Naseer, Chief Financial Officer, and directors of International Cricket, Media & Communications, Domestic Cricket, Human Resources, High-Performance Centers, the head of Women's Cricket, and officials from the Legal Department.
