An important meeting was held at Gaddafi Stadium under the chairmanship of Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. The meeting reviewed preparations for upcoming international cricket series and also discussed the schedule and preparations for the Pakistan Shaheens team. The Chairman instructed concerned officials to initiate work on the new central contracts.

A detailed briefing was given on the Pakistan national team’s preparations for the home series against South Africa and Sri Lanka, as well as the away tours to the West Indies and Bangladesh.

A key decision was made during the meeting: all international players will be required to participate in at least one domestic tournament. Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that playing alongside international cricketers will greatly help groom domestic players. He added that a strong domestic cricket structure is essential for producing top-level cricketers, and it also ensures quality backup for the national team.

Director International Cricket Usman Wahla has given the briefing on the upcoming series. The meeting was attended by Head Coach Mike Hesson, Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed, Team Manager Naveed Akram Cheema, Director International Cricket Usman Wahla, Director High Performance Centers Aqib Javed, and captain Salman Agha.
