So many countries around the world, if not all of them, are guilty of not investing enough in mental health care.

No doubt.
Humanity is dying in the heart of so many. The dark side is a reality and countless people get pulled into it. I have myself been a victim in the past although i was able to save myself without inflicting any real damage to people around me. It takes immense courage and effort to control dark thoughts. I see why many fail at it which is where what you said is most relevant.
