Speaking on his YouTube:

"Bad light and rain have saved Pakistan to a large extent, else they would have been in a very bad position"

"I would like to ask Pakistan batsman that, yes I can understand when you are new on the crease that you take 20-25 balls to score runs, but when you have been on the crease for some time, then why is the next run also taking the same time?"

"I have said many times that a batsman goes on the pitch not to stand around but to score runs"

"Fawad Alam had some bad luck today as he scored 0, but I say this as a former cricketer myself that when a cricketer is making a comeback after 10 years with so much hype about injustices to him in the past, then there is so much pressure on him; Its not easy for him to score runs"

"So lets not look at one innings from Fawad - if we have given him an opportunity then even if another one or more innings is not good then this is not a problem and we should give him more opportunities; This is because he has scored a lot of runs in our domestic cricket"

"I was looking at Fawad Alam today and he had no feet movement, his hands were not moving, he had a worried look on his face and this is a normal sort of a thing"

"My advice to Fawad Alam is that this is a tough time but he must believe in himself; When he scores then I will be very happy"

"I would ask the Pakistan team management to let the players know that they need to play a little aggressive cricket as unless we play positive and aggressively, we cannot beat England"

"If we dont play aggressive cricket then we will start thinking that rain will save us"

So many injustices to Fawad in the past ai :)) why didn't you select him yourself then Mr.Inzi :))

Very hypocritical from Inzi. He is saying back him, when he didn't even select him. :)))

Fawad should be given a few more chances ideally, but his age is against him. So, not sure that will happen.

To be fair, I'd give him some tests - around 5-6 tests at least. That should be a fair amount.

I agree that the aim is to score runs, but nowhere does that specify how quickly. Especially in England, you have to be able to leave well play more slowly. Someone like Smith’s greatest attribute is that he is happy to take 300 balls to score a hundred, as long as he gets there. The Pakistan batsmen can learn from that, especially Babar who is obviously an exceptional batsmen but was playing away from his body trying to score far too much yesterday, could easily have been out 3/4 times

Thats something Babar needs to work on. He tends to get aggressive and look to play his shots too often. He needs to find a balance and in these conditions he will be done for, if he does not remain patient. It is what stops him from getting those big scores also - concentration and patience are the key to success.

He does deserve a chance. The only concern is that our next Test series is in NZ. I don't know if Fawad is good enough in swinging conditions.

Hope Inzi happy with Rizwan's work today at the crease.

It is quiet hilarious and I don't mind a bit of Aloo meself :yk Fawad at this point should not be in the team, but since he is the man deserves a decent run especially over Asachin Shafiq

Inzamam is right.

Batsman's job is to score runs.

Inzamam himself was an attacking batsman during his playing days.
