Floyd Mayweather is often given a fair amount of stick for being the man who pushed boxing back 10 years after his awful performance in the infamous "fight of the century", his knack for running away from opponents either beyond the squared circle or inside it and finally many tend to deem him a wife beater with no respect for women.
However, ever since his retirement the man has taken up promotional duties and his relationship with one of his promising fighters Gervonta Davies has been heart warming. Floyd has been hell bent on ensuring Davies does not go astray by taking him in when he was struggling in his personal life and guiding him to a stunning world title victory over Jose Pedraza.
Floyd has been very hands on with Gervonta by even training with him and going for a jog with his fighter:
Gervonta grew up in the inner city with no father, some younger siblings and a mother who was never home; he'd stay inside one room with his siblings and take each day as it came. Floyd not only took Gervonta in but he also took care of his family and constantly prevents Gervonta from interacting with his inner city friends who can encourage him to indulge in a life style which would be very counter productive to his boxing career. In addition, having been a fighter and seen it all; Gervonta can consider himself to be in safe hands in terms of his future financial prospects given how promoters often rip fighters off.
Floyd does not need money but has taken up promotional duties for the love of boxing and his relationship with Gervonta is heart warming, in every interview he speaks very passionately about his fighter and you can sense the love he has for him and almost see's him as his own son.
Anyhow you guys should watch out for Gervonta, the young man is an exceptional talent and one for the future; he is the most promising American fighter I've seen for a very very long time! at the young age of 22 he is already world champion and beyond his years! speed, power, movement, excellent defence/attack, decent in-ring IQ and an aggressive fighter who's great to watch as well:

There's some room for improvement in terms of improving his defence when under attack can come across as a bit static but he's not someone who is flat footed, with more experience he should get even better but my word for his age unbelievable.
