What's new

A weak Amir, still a better bowler than JK, Rahat, IK and any other sideman fast bowler for Pakistan

Time to promote Umar Akmal back to odi squad and playing eleven. I think you missed the second T20i vs NZ.

Shehzad should be dropped and Umar Akmal should make comeback to odi squad.

I watched all the matches and I am aware of his talent. I made the first thread on him here at PP some 7 years ago so I have followed him closely.
His problem is in his head. That need to be sorted out. You can not just ignore all the stupid dismissals he had when he had opportunity to go and win the matches for his team. He needs to improve his attitude as well and stop thinking he is some superstar like Kohli. One year away from INT cricket would be good for him.

Mohammad Amir - form is temporary, class is permanent.

Took him a few matches to get going during which a few people were very quick to write him off, but he's back and looking a very good bowler once again.

But he failed in the 2nd t20...

Amir was simply superb today. Bowling great deliveries and a treat to watch. Easily the best among all on display today.

Enjoyed Amir's overs to Williamson and Guptill. Finally a new ball bowler that can make the batsmen miss a few from good length. Quality fast bowling. Beat the outside edge plenty of times.
Both of them were at sea with some of his deliveries. Had Simon Doul impressed as well.

He's a better Test bowler so it's understandable. Bowling has been okay but fitness looks short, plenty of time before the England tour though. Speaking of Boult, I think he's some time away from his best. Australian series might have come early for him.

Not just tests. In odis too once he gets fully fit and bowls mostly between 142 to 152kph with those yorkers and bouncers than he will be more deadly. InshaAllah.

Amir is bowling really well, was easily the best bowler of the ODI series.

Finally after a long time, a pakistani fast bowler who has the ability to trouble the world's top batsmen, repaying the faith of the fans.

He will be vital to our chances on the upcoming overseas tours.

4 overs of T20
and 10 overs of ODI is not enough to feed our eyes of what we have missed in last 5 years.

we need to see him in test for longer spell to enjoy the class bowling of M. Amir

and now we have only t20 next 2 3 months.

can't wait for the English Summer

This still holds true. Amir showing how desperately the pace attack needs him. Shaheen won't be able to hold one end on his own. He has bad days too sometimes. Rauf and Hassan Ali get hit more than one would hope and the youngsters like Hasnain just haven't turned up.
Amir's experience at the death is pretty much needed. Add to that that he is a big match player, he'll surely turn up in the WT20 if he's selected.

Is Amir a better death bowler than Hassan Ali or Rauf?

Allow me to rephrase this thread in four lines:

I am really desperate for Amir to perform, I don't know what to do. He doesn't look the same bowler to me, I am worried he is finished.

Sorry?

Loving it. You always back your best prospects. I want to see the same support for Babar Azam, Shahzad and Umar Akmal as well. Back these boys, they will become stars one day IA

Well...1/3 was correct
