Aam Aadmi Party is likely to get a clear majority and form the next government in Delhi

Would say I'm quite surprised at the way they governed Delhi. Didn't expect this from them especially considering activist nature of politics they do.

Anyways, miles better than what their nearest competitors, BJP (led by that thug, Manoj Tiwari) would've given us.

Won't be surprised one bit if they retain power after next Delhi assembly elections.

If AAP make their way back to power, Delhiites are thicker than initially thought. And that's saying something!

Who should they choose instead?
Kindly enlighten us.

The devils you know: either the BJP or Congress.

I have never lived in Delhi, but Sheila Dikshit was repeatedly voted back to power because of performance. Eventually, the overall UPA performance and the negative PR got to her as well and she was booted out.

AAP promised to be different, but their performance over the last 4-5 years is clear to see: at best, they are no different to anybody else, and have shed several nuts and bolts along the way. This when they have a near full house in the assembly. They have missed a big opportunity here.

From my interactions with people of Delhi, they seem to have done an Okay job. Nothing extraordinary of course but better than the likes of BJP which has Manoj Tiwari of all people at the helm.

Their performance in education sector is definitely commendable.

I get it, you know nothing about Delhi then.

If you are from Delhi, do tell us why you think AAP is better for the people of the city than any of the alternatives.

Cong isn't an alternative, especially when we consider their current political strength. Delhi BJP unit is full of thugs (Vijender Gupta et al), led by Thug-in-Chief, Manoj Tiwari.

Strictly talking about AAP's policies for Delhites, well they've done very well in the fields of education and health. For a change we don't have to shell out fortune for our electricity and water bills. People talk about subsidies being doled out but there have not been any new taxes imposed by AAP govt in their 4 years in power.

Had MCs of Delhi (led by BJP for last 3 terms) were not this pathetic, Delhi would've been far more clean than it is now. I've always been a Delhite ever since I was born. I can tell you, MCs have done nothing for Delhi's hygiene and general cleanliness despite getting so much time in power.

PS: I'm not an AAP supporter.

Kejriwal lost me once he started running after dhongi baba's and sants to win elections but school building AAP over temple and statue building BJP anyday.

Oh look another Delhiite!
Did you check the latest Ease of Constructing Temples index brother? India seem to have done rather quite well in it under BJP.

I don't have a voter ID card, leave alone be a supporter of anybody. ::J

Kejriwal has done a tremendous job as a CM
Just vist any govt. school of Delhi or any state govt hospital.
Education and Health are the two most important sectors and AAP govt has done a commendable job in these 2 sectors.
Now, if you consider development as building statues then this AAP govt has failed.

I hate AAP dramaybaazi, but they have been tremendous for Delhi. They have my vote.
Agree with every word here. They are too melodramatic (however much lesser than Shah-Modi). However unlike BJP, they do solid work instead of just caring about religion and cows.

Anyone who removes the playing of the anthem in cinema halls has my vote. Tired of the vigilante nationalists.

Just visit any public school in Delhi, Kejriwal has transformed education for poor. Same with hospitals.

Good to hear the AAP government doing well in health and education. They really need to tone down the melodrama and get in more leaders besides Kejriwal. For someone not from Delhi like me, I only get to see the theatrics

Thousands of posters targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, put up in various parts of Delhi, have triggered a police crackdown in which 44 cases have been filed and four people have been arrested. Two of the arrested men own a printing press.

In a massive operation on Tuesday, the police took down nearly 2,000 posters from several places in Delhi. Most of these posters had the slogan "Modi hatao, desh bachao (Remove Modi, save the country)".

Police said that the arrests were made for defacing public property and under the law that requires posters to have the name of the printing press. Delhi police said that they registered 100 FIRs on Tuesday, out of which 44 were for anti-Modi posters.

Some 2,000 posters, which were allegedly being delivered to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)'s office, were seized by the police. Cops found the posters when they intercepted a van in the IP Estate area in Central Delhi. The driver told police that he had been instructed to deliver the posters to the AAP headquarters.

He said that he had delivered a similar consignment on Monday too.

The Aam Aadmi Party, in a tweet, questioned the FIRs and asked what was objectionable in the posters. The party also said that this was the "peak of Modi government's dictatorship".

The arrested printing press owners told the Delhi Police that they had received an order to print 50,000 "Modi Hatao, Desh Bachao" posters. The owners have been arrested as the posters did not have the name of the printing press.

The arrests have become the latest flashpoint between Centre and AAP. The Bharatiya Janata Party accused AAP of not following the law while putting up the posters.

"AAP doesn't have the courage to say that they put up the protests. They broke the law while putting up the posters," Delhi BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana said.

The Aam Aadmi Party, on the other hand, has announced a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar tomorrow to demand the ouster of PM Modi.

When I was a kid, I wanted to either join the Armed forces or become a cop. Dad's side has plenty in the Army and Air Force and eventually seeing them up close disillusioned me. The cop thing also died, luckily. Must be tough being in a profession where you can't afford to hold any sense of morality while supposedly being upholders of morality.

Delhi police comes under Amit Shah's control. They recently have been trying hard to intimidate and, if possible, arrest Rahul Gandhi for saying that sexual violence against women is a problem in India and that women confided in him instances of troubles in their lives during the Bharat Jodo yatra.

That's how pathetic the Delhi Police under Modi-Shah are.

There is no morality about posting thousands of propaganda picture against your democratically elected PM. If they want to remove Modi (i.e Modi Hatao), they need to beat him in elections. AAP won 0 seats from Delhi in last genera election, meaning people of India rejected them and elected BJP. The right messaging would have been - 'Modi Hatao, AAP bachao' as there is nothing and from nobody India needs bachna. Sab Changa si there.

Glad you didn't join Police/Armed forces man...correct decision. :P
