AB de Villiers 'in conversations' for T20 World Cup return, says Faf du Plessis [Post #206]

AB de Villiers may feature the T10 League

The South African batting legend, AB de Villiers may feature the second season of T10 League which is to take place later this year.

AB de Villiers recently announced his retirement from international cricket with the immediate effect which came as a surprise to his fans and cricket experts as no one anticipated it.

However, fans may get to see his explosive batting in the T10 League, which has been seen as a revolutionary cricket format since it was first played in 2017.

Maratha Arabians are looking to rope in the former South African skipper and their co-owner owner Parvez Khan is optimistic about his inclusion.

“I am positive and he is also responding positive, I have spoken to him and his manager, hopefully, he will be there along with a lot of other big players, but he will be the biggest one,” revealed Parvez Khan, who is a huge fan of AB.

“I love him a lot and respect him a lot for how he has played throughout his career,” he went on to say.

Karachians announced Australia’s former all-rounder Shane Watson as their icon player. Chairman T10 League, Shaji ul Mulk told that they wanted Shane Watson in the first season of the league as well.

“For T10, Shane Watson is one big name we always wanted, last year we missed a few big players like Shane Watson, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle and others, this year we are hoping all of them to be back,” told Shaji ul Mulk. “Shane Watson signing up for Karachians and playing in the T10 League is a great achievement.”

AB De Villiers: World Cup is not the be-all and end-all of my career

De Villiers said that his decision to call it a day was made easier when he realised that his career will not be defined by World Cup success. "I guess that once I acknowledged to myself that I didn't have to measure my career on one tournament, place so much emphasis on it, it became easier to make my decision. I also didn't want to be picking and choosing my way through fixtures from now until then. It wouldn't be fair," he said.

Star South African batsman AB de Villiers, who recently announced his retirement from international cricket, confirmed on Tuesday that he will continue to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a few more years. “I will keep on playing IPL for a few years, and I would like to play for the Titans, and help some of the youngsters. But there are no set plans. I haven’t been able to say that for a long time,” de Villiers told iol.co.za.

“There are some offers on the table from around the world, but it will be nice to wake up and wonder what to do; to be normal.” De Villiers added that he has made peace with the fact that he does not have a World Cup winner’s medal. He said, “For a long time, the World Cup was a massive goal. But, in the last few years, I have realised that it isn’t realistic to measure yourself purely on what you achieve in that tournament. That will not be the be-all and end-all of my career.”

“Yes, I would have loved to win it, but I have great memories from World Cups. The 2007 tournament — my first — was very special. We fell short against Australia, when we tried to play too much cricket too soon, but that shift in mentality probably helped us to go over there and win the Test series we then won over there. Personally, I scored my first ODI century in that 2007 tournament, and I loved the whole experience of being in the Caribbean,” he added.

“The same goes for the others, in 2011 and in 2015. India has always been close to my heart, because of the passion for cricket, and then obviously 2015 was an amazing game,” he further said about the classic semi-final against New Zealand in which South Africa fell agonisingly short. We fell on the wrong side of it, but we gave it everything.”

De Villiers further said that his decision to call it a day was made easier when he realised that his career will not be defined by World Cup success. “I guess that once I acknowledged to myself that I didn’t have to measure my career on one tournament, place so much emphasis on it, it became easier to make my decision. He probably knew SA would choke one more time and he would have got run out in a knockout game after hiding behind inferior batsman.

Tendulkar got the taste of world cup after 22 long years since his international debut!DV should have waited for another shot at world cup.Nothing is comparable to winning a world cup.

I still have mixed feelings about his retirement. I thoroughly believe that he was the greatest ODI batsman of his era and that he alone should dictate the terms of when he retired. But quitting just a year before the world cup does seem a bit foolish and a tad selfish.

Very happy to have retired, absolutely no regrets: AB de Villiers

It’s been three months since AB de Villiers dropped the retirement bombshell in May but the South African batsman is massively relieved at having made that leap and is happy that he shook the ‘unbearable’ pressure that comes with international cricket.

In an interview to The Independent, De Villiers revealed that his mind was constantly affected by the huge expectations from all around during his time as South Africa cricketer. “It’s been unbearable at times: the pressure you have to face, performing day in and day out,” De Villiers was quoted as saying. “The expectations that you put on yourself, from fans, from the country, from coaches. It is huge, and it’s something that’s on your mind all the time as a cricketer.”

De Villiers made his Test debut in 2004 against England and went on to clock 114 Tests, scored 8765 runs with 22 centuries and 45 fifties. He played 218 ODIs and scored 9577 runs with 25 hundreds and 53 half-centuries. He averaged over 50 in both the formats.

De Villiers, 34, was in no mood to sound politically correct. While extolling the feeling of scoring century in big matches, he says it’s something he’s not going to miss.

“I know nothing will compare to that feeling of scoring hundreds in a big game. Thousands of people chanting your name. But in all fairness, it’s definitely something that I’m not going to miss. Not yet. I’m very happy to have stepped away. Absolutely no regrets,” he said.

And he did not stopped there. He said cricketers who claim about being under no pressure are being dishonest with themselves and that being away from home for a significant period does have its consequences.

When probed whether there a sense of relief that now he doesn’t have to go through the grind of playing international cricket, De Villiers responded, “Massively. Yes. I know the right answer is probably to say I will always miss the game. But I truly believe that players who tell you they don’t feel the pressure of international cricket, being away from home for months at a time, are lying to everyone and themselves.

I was prepared to embrace it, to fight the pressure. And I’m happy that I did. But it certainly takes its toll after a while. I feel there is room for players to be more honest about it, having systems in place to make sure they keep fresh and mentally healthy,” he said.

While removing any doubts that he had developed mental issues, De Villiers said the expectations of performing every single game was energy sapping. “I was certainly not mentally ill at the time, but I can relate to the fact that pressure can really drive you down, and make you so tired,” he said.

De Villiers holds the record for the fastest hundred and 150 in ODI cricket and has built himself quite a reputation as a T20 star. His array of shots earned him the moniker of Mr. 360 and despite quitting international cricket, he will continue to play cricket for his local team Titans and Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challenges Bangalore.

“I’m still going to play for a few years; I’ll still play a little bit around the world. But on my own terms,” he said.

Despite his massive fan following, De Villiers preffered being not the centre of attention. “I’ve always been shy. I don’t really like attention too much. It’s quite ironic. But I get embarrassed quite a bit. I prefer to be out of the spotlight, to be honest. I’ve always been that kind of personality.

I was immensely perturbed with de Villiers when he decided to sit out the test tours of New Zealand and England last year, and felt somewhat that he was being disrespectful to the team and cricket fans given that he was gallivanting around the T20 franchise circuit.

However, I fully support this decision to retire from all formats given the frank disclosure that he was struggling mentally to cope with the pressure of international cricket. It's perfectly justifiable in my view and provides a sense of closure to everyone. He's definitely entitled to quit after the career he has had.

Should come back for the world cup. Remember even Messi announced retirement after missing the penalty in Copa America finals in 2016. But came back for the world cup.

Looking at some of players the Saffers are trying in the middle order recently just makes AB’s retirement look even worse. He could walk into this SA side. Still young enough, still fit enough, still skilled enough - yet he walks away from a World Cup where he would have been close to his peak.

To quote one of the greatest thinkers of our time ‘Sad!’.

ABDV’s country is currently being humiliated here by the Sri Lankans whilst he’s sitting in Sharjah playing fun cricket for the mighty Lahore Qalandars.

He's 35 now, why blame him for not wanting to play 5 day cricket? Its his country fault that they became such a one man team.

I am happy he is no more part of the SA side. Such selfish cricketer do not deserves to play for any team. Will leave you when you need him most. Did in Eng Test series and went on to play t20 series. His runs wasn't reason we lost to SA. We failed to chase anything more than 150 which Srilanka did it easily..

Blasphemous really. SA desperately need a solid middle order batsmen to hold the batting and he has left the country in a hurdle now.

He is still the best batsmen currently in South Africa and he should man up and make a comeback if they want to ensure SA remains one of top teams.

SA will bounce back, don't worry. They have a good domestic structure.

ABDV has retired. Amla has not retired. That is the only difference. Contribution is nothing from both now.

The asking rate was touching 13 with three over left in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) innings, but the talismanic AB de Villiers was still at the crease and looking in fine form. And the South African took RCB to their first win of this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) with an unbeaten knock of 59 off 38 balls.

Speaking after their eight-wicket win against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Saturday, man-of-the-match De Villiers said that he was waiting a long time to return to form after an inconsistent run so far in the season. The former Proteas skipper also hoped that he can now maintain the momentum.

“Waited for a long time for this, so we’re very happy. It’s a very small step in the right direction, but also a big one. I’ve got too much respect of the game to be upset about that, to get ahead of myself, to get too hard on myself. It needs one knock to get back in that confidence zone, and hopefully I can maintain that now,” he said.

Having had a tough run, De Villiers said that the sole reason behind him quitting international cricket was that he wanted to be sharp for the little time that he is on the field as it is impossible to maintain momentum for 10-11 months a year having played top-flight cricket for so long.

“That’s exactly the reason I’ve decided not to play international cricket – to be as sharp as I can in the other forms of cricket around the world. Can’t keep playing 10-11 months a year and keep being sharp after 15 years of my career. Get to work with the university guys, the local guys, which gives me the motivation to be an example for them.”

The former Proteas skipper also welcomed Dale Steyn into the unit. “Was a fantastic move to get Dale involved. We all know what he’s capable of. One thing for sure is he’ll give 200% with every ball. We know what we have to do. We have to win a lot of games of cricket. The next step is Mumbai, the Wankhede stadium. We love playing cricket there,” he added.

Usually people quit forms of cricket to better serve their nation in other formats ...

He played over a 100 test matches and 500+ international games as a fantastic player, and then he was done.

Let him enjoy league cricket now!

Wonder what AB is up to today as his fellow countrymen struggle to bat against, even a team like, Bangladesh.

AB de Villiers has tarnished his legacy by ditching South Africa in CWC-2019

If he this doesn’t boil his blood sitting at home watching his TV, then everything he has achieved as a batsman means nothing.

Exceptional talent. Exceptional record. But should never be talked about with same respect and reverence as Kohli or even tainted Warner and Smith who have proven their passion and desire to play under the baggy green.

Dollars rule. But there will be quite a few thinking that ABDV was badly needed here.

He would not make my GOAT squad anymore. At the end of the day, cricket is bigger than records. He can enjoy being a mercenary.

He is entitled to his money, fans are entitled to their opinion.

SelfIsh mercenary cricketer. Simple as that.

He let his country, fans, cricket lovers down. Mentally weak player who retired just before the biggest cricket event in the world, the ICC WC.

This thread doesn't need to be bumped everytime South Africa lose. Yes he should have played at the WC but if his heart wasnt in it he made the right call. South Africa don't deserve to have half hearted players playing for them.

Replacing a player like AB isn't easy.

AB should be ashamed.

That's the last thing he is. He's your typical SAF olayer, has no pride or respect for his team, always chasing after money. Even WICB players are better, you can see their passion when they're playing.

Cricket culture in South Africa is destroyed. They will decline like Sri Lanka if they don't fix the issues.

Even his presence would have boosted the confidence of the team.

I wonder if there is any knock of his where he came in a dire situation and he single handedly rescued the team. I believe most of his brutish knocks have come under the back of the top order doing their job for him leaving him to exploit the left overs. I guess Daryl Cullinan knew better than us when he called ABD a soft player and criticized him for not batting up the order at No 3 and taking charge, responsibility in comparison to Kohli

Would he have made a difference? The saffers have lost key matches in every tournament even with him present.

He would have won more matches for them had he batted at 3. World Cup 2015 might have been different if he had the guts to bat up the order.

Even though SA lost in the end his knock against us in 2015 wc was sensational. He almost pulled of that win single handedly.

How would you describe a dire situation ? Maybe then such innings can be found out.

AB was a much more reliable and gutsy Test Bat than Virat Kohli.

Lots coming out on big sites that he wanted to play but as he didn't play any other cricket for SA he wasn't. No player is bigger than the team.

Sydney - South African great AB de Villiers will make his debut in Australia's Twenty20 Big Bash League during the 2019-20 season after signing with Brisbane Heat, the team announced Tuesday.

The 35-year-old prolific batsman will join the Heat for the second half of the eight-team competition that runs from December to February.

Coach Darren Lehmann said he was "over the moon" to have the opportunity to work with De Villiers for the first time.

"World class players don't just come along every day and to have a player of AB's stature and skill in the BBL is a fantastic outcome for everyone, not just the Heat," he said.

"He's a 360-degree player, great skills, outstanding temperament and an insightful leader."

De Villiers played 114 Tests, 228 one-dayers and 78 Twenty20s in a 14-year career for the Proteas before retiring from international cricket in 2018.

He starred for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in this year's Indian Premier League, scoring 442 runs at an average of 44.20 with a rapid strike rate of 154.

He said the decision to join the Heat for the BBL from January, including the finals should they qualify, was an easy one to make.

"They play the kind of brand that I want to be associated with. It's quite aggressive, they go after the attack, and I'm looking forward to going to the Gabba," De Villiers said.

"It's a beautiful cricket field. It's a great wicket and games are always of a high quality."

Boucher could try to tempt De Villiers out of Proteas retirement for T20 World Cup

New South Africa head coach Mark Boucher may try to convince AB de Villiers he should come out of international retirement.

Interim director of cricket Graeme Smith on Saturday revealed he appointed former wicketkeeper-batsman Boucher to "bring the toughness to turn a young and inexperienced Proteas squad into a battle-ready outfit".

Boucher has not ruled out turning to some older players with plenty of knowhow ahead of the T20 World Cup next year, including maverick 35-year-old batsman De Villiers.

"When you go to a World Cup, you want your best players playing for you," said Boucher, who will be assisted by Enoch Nkwe.

"If I feel he is one of your best players, why wouldn't I want to have a conversation with him? I've only just got into the job, I might have conversations with quite a few players and see where they are."

Boucher added: "You want your best players playing in the World Cup and if there's a couple of issues you need to iron out, with media, with team-mates, and if it's for the good of South Africa, why not, let's do it."

Boucher has no power over selecting players that moved overseas to take up Kolpak deals but would welcome being able to call upon them.

"If I can answer from a coach's perspective, absolutely. If you look at rugby, the way the Springboks won the World Cup, the experience they got from players playing overseas was invaluable." said the 43-year-old, who retired from playing in 2012 due to a serious eye injury.

"From a coach's perspective, I'd love to have the opportunity to deepen and strengthen the squad. It will keep everyone on their toes and will bring more excellence into the game in this country."

One of my favorite all-time batsman.

Hopefully he comes back in the WT20 as the top run scorer to claim his throne as the GOAT.

yea let's all hope he wins the cup instead of being loyal to our country because we are so charitable. One t20 title is enough for all of us. Let the poor saffers win for once. favourite players above country ofcourse.

ABD will not make a difference, he always goes missing when it really counts. Will be a short term waste of a recall

He really should have played 50 overs World Cup. Winning or losing is another thing but South Africa won't have been lying down at bottom of the chart if he had played.

Du Plessis wants De Villiers back

AB de Villiers is "in conversations" to return for South Africa at next year's T20 World Cup, says Proteas captain Faf du Plessis.

De Villiers retired from all forms of international cricket in 2018 but reportedly made himself available for the 2019 50-over World Cup in England at late notice only for South Africa's selectors to overlook him.

"People want AB to play and I am no different," said Du Plessis. "Those conversations have been happening for two or three months already.

"What does it look like? How does it look over the next year? That's where it starts."

Du Plessis suggested that with the international T20 calendar not too demanding that De Villiers could play some games in the build-up to the T20 World Cup and then in the tournament itself in Australia at the end of 2020.

"T20 cricket is a different beast, it's not a lot of time away from home," added Du Plessis, whose side are yet to win a 50-over or T20 World Cup.

"The T20 World Cup is not too far away and there isn't a lot - I reckon 20 T20s over the season - which won't be that hard on one to do that. Those conversations have already taken place."

South Africa's new head coach Mark Boucher spoke last week about possibly trying to lure De Villiers out of international retirement.

"When you go to a World Cup, you want your best players playing for you," he said. "If I feel he is one of your best players, why wouldn't I want to have a conversation with him?

"From a coach's perspective, I'd love to have the opportunity to deepen and strengthen the squad. It will keep everyone on their toes and will bring more excellence into the game in this country.

I think he should come to play the T20 World Cup. It will significantly increase South Africa's chances in that campaign. And there isn't much work load in T20s.

South Africa will be boosted if they can get AB back before the WT20.

He is arguably the most destructive and the most talented batsman to have ever played the game alongside Viv, but certainly not the GOAT for me. Kohli, Viv and Tendulkar rank higher in my opinion.

The world, but more importantly SA, needs to move on from this guy! He clearly does not have the passion to play for SA and has prioritized money over national commitments. Further, he hasn't won SA anything of meaning, so I have no idea why there's always the case of wanting him back before a big tournament.

AB's T20i record is pretty atrocious.

He averages only 26 in 75 innings with a strike rate of 135.

Kohli has a thousand more runs than him despite playing around the same number of T20Is and he also has a higher strike rate than AB.

In T20s (domestic), AB is probably better but in T20is, Kohli's way better than De Villiers.

He still is in form, so would improve SA.

SA really want to win T20 World Cup and with ABDV, their chances increase.

Hoping the Pakistani A.B. gets a recall too for the T20 WC.

That’s A. B. Hafeez

A for Absolutely
B for Brilliant

Kohli trumps him in every format of the game.
In ODIs, he is arguably the greatest ever. In Tests, he already has more hundreds than him in less games.
In T20Is, AB has mediocre stats, Kohli averages 52, with 2 MoT awards in the last 2 WT20s.

AB was more talented, but Kohli has achieved more.

Sure Hafeez bhai we need you in T20 team asap. Please also join the test team too as you’re our only hope. And on this forum everyone loves you a lot especially MMHS . You can start posting with your own name i.e. A.B. Hafeez

With AB back, SA's chances will increase only. The question is whether this will happen or not.

YES!

World T20 will absolutely come alive if he's there!

SA should grab this opportunity with both hands. Don't let him go this time.

We should also recall Afridi. He is a T20I legend. We don't have power hitters anyways.

'I'd love to': De Villiers aiming for T20 World Cup return

Superstar batsman AB de Villiers has declared he "would love to" make an international comeback with South Africa at this October's ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.

De Villiers, who hung up his Proteas shirt in May 2018, made a composed 40 from 32 balls on KFC BBL debut in Brisbane Heat's seven-wicket win over Adelaide Strikers at the Gabba on Tuesday afternoon, and said afterward that the new-look power structure in Cricket South Africa (CSA) made the prospect of a return appealing, with the T20 World Cup appearing the ideal lure.

"There's a lot that needs to happen before that becomes reality," the 35-year-old said.

"I would love to. I've been talking to 'Bouch' (new South Africa coach Mark Boucher), (new director of cricket) Graeme Smith and (captain) Faf (du Plessis) back home, we're all keen to make it happen.

"It's a long way away still, and plenty can happen – there's the IPL coming up, I've still got to be in form at that time.

"So I'm thinking of throwing my name in the hat and hoping that everything will work out.

"It's not a guarantee, once again. I don't want to disappoint myself or other people, so for now I'm just going to try and keep a low profile, try and play the best possible cricket that I can and then see what happens towards the end of the year."

De Villiers has flirted with an international return previously. Last year, ahead of the ICC ODI World Cup in the UK, the South African reportedly made himself available for the tournament, only for CSA to reject the offer.

But with a significant changing of the guard within the governing body in recent months, the possibility of a de Villiers return this time around suddenly seems more feasible.

"There are a lot of players (involved with CSA) who I used to play with," he continued. "Guys who understand the game, leaders of the team for many years.

"So it's much easier to communicate than what it used to be in the past. They understand what players go through – especially players that have played for 15 years internationally.

"It doesn't mean that everything is going to be sunshine and roses, but it's definitely a lot easier and it feels comfortable, the language that's being used and just the feel that everyone has at the moment in South Africa about the cricket."

De Villiers said he was an invested onlooker as the recent upheaval in CSA transpired, with the recruitments of Boucher and Smith, as well as new batting consultant Jacques Kallis, bringing a smile to his face.

"Absolutely, they're my friends and I played 10-plus years with them internationally," said the 114-Test veteran.

"We've been through a lot and it's great to have them involved again, and as I said, hopefully I'll be involved again as well pretty soon."

The revelation from de Villiers will be music to the ears of South Africa fans though unsurprising to the likes of du Plessis and Boucher, who revealed last month that talks to entice the legendary batsman back into the fold were already underway.

"People want AB to play and I am no different," du Plessis said last month. "Those conversations have been happening for two or three months already. What does it look like? How does it look over the next year? That's where it starts.

"T20 cricket is a different beast, it's not a lot of time away from home. The T20 World Cup is not too far away and there isn't a lot – I reckon 20 T20s over the season – which won't be that hard on one to do that. Those conversations have already taken place."

Added Boucher: "When you go to a World Cup, you want your best players playing for you. If I feel he is one of your best players, why wouldn't I want to have a conversation with him?"

i can only imagine the uproar if he was Pakistani, deserted his country at the time of need now wants to pick and choose which tournaments he plays in. Just so he can prolong his career for the IPL.

South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis has once again expressed his desire on having ‘good friend’ AB de Villiers back into the national squad ahead of the T20 World Cup 2020 later this year. De Villiers will be welcomed back into the South African team ahead of the showpiece event in Australia, captain du Plessis said on Wednesday.

Batting star De Villiers, who retired from international cricket in 2018, was quoted on an Australian website on Tuesday as saying he was keen to return. He said he had been talking with former captain Graeme Smith, South Africa’s interim director of cricket, as well as coach Mark Boucher and Du Plessis.

Speaking on the eve of South Africa’s third Test against England, which starts on Thursday, Du Plessis hinted that De Villiers’s return was almost a done deal, although both De Villiers and South African assistant coach Enoch Nkwe have emphasised that it is far from finalised.

He made himself available for the one-day World Cup last year, only to be rejected, with officials saying he left it too late and calling him up would be unfair to other players.

Du Plessis first revealed last month that he had been talking to his one-time schoolmate, who is among the world’s most in-demand T20 players. “It’s the same as what I mentioned before,” said Du Plessis.

“We spoke and I was very keen to have him back even before the new coaching staff was on board.”

Now it seems the team’s senior management are similarly keen. “It was a process of what does the next year look like in terms of T20 cricket,” said Du Plessis. “How many games, where, when, what? And then try to unfold that in a way that he can come back.”

“He’s keen to come back. I don’t know when. In an ideal world, we would like to make sure we can play our best 11, 12, 13 players for a few games or in a few series leading up to a T20 World Cup,” the SA captain added.

Du Plessis said he did not want a repeat of what he said happened ahead of last year’s 50-overs World Cup when combinations were not settled before the tournament.

“There was a search to find the players and the combinations. I would like to settle into that combination a little earlier so the guys can play as many games as possible together,” he said.

De Villiers is currently playing in Australia’s Big Bash League, which ends on February 8, and is committed to playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) from March 29 to May 24.

South Africa has three T20 international series ahead of the World Cup in October and November.

It plays three home matches against England from February 12, followed immediately by three against Australia. It is also scheduled to play a five-match T20 series in the West Indies in August.

AB has done what many players will eventually do. Retire from international cricket at 30. Then maximise earnings from leagues with reduced work loads. Then return for ICC world cups.

really frightening scenario.

only english and aus players are patriotic, passionate and persistent enough to play above 30 nowadays

Cummins owned him in 2011 test when he debuted.

Did he? Cummins played only one test and de Villiers batted well and got runs in both innings if I remember well. And in 2018, He smashed( drives, hooks and cuts) Australia's best bowler, Cummins, more than anyone else.

Maybe we should ask Cummins the vice versa.

It would be great for cricket fans around the world if all three of these magnificent batsmen - AB Devillers, Virat Kohli and Mohammed Hafeez can play in one more international tournament together.

Majid Khan now even hafeez himself will be ashamed to be put together with these legends.

I hope the current CSA management isn't dumb and ignorant like the previous one.

AB should definitely have played the world cup in 2019.

He must play World T20 next.

Strange part is how indecisive great players like AB could be in taking such decisions while when on pitch, decisiveness is their forte.

Not only that but also have the dignity and call it a day when they know they no longer perform at the high level. And not use the experience tag and stay till 37-40

Either to choose to play or choose to retire. How hard is it?

What a clown.

This was posted yesterday - and today Hafeez announced as back in the T20 squad so he’s one step closer to playing alongside AB and VK in the T20 WC , thank you Misbah :)

He scored runs only in first innings,In second innings he scored only 2 runs and got out by Cummins.
Cummins in his initial days was a complete bowler he used to swing the bowl, bowl Yorkers with more variations which he does rarely now.
