I always had faith in the team and with a bit of insight provided by a friend who met Mickey I had no doubt we would reach the final, that defeat does not define Pakistan at their best and Mickey is a very very special individual; exciting times mA credit to all involved in our triumph, the players, management, coaching staff and Inzamam ul Haq.
Recall that we entered the tournament as the no.8 ranked side in the World! terrific stuff getting to the final, sensational!

I think it makes the end result even better tbh.
Im not bringing political stuff here intentionally... But can't go without it as its connected with Pakistan's performance in Sports... Im from India and this is what I feel about Pakistan's performance.
1. The root cause of Pakistans downward journey in Cricket and other Sports is the lack of quality tournaments in their country. The reason is the security fear which is only because of the dangerous outfits who control the country indirectly. FORGET THE WRONG RELIGIOUS PERCEPTIONS AND CRUSH THEM. COME TO MAIN STREAM.
2. Build a secure environment, talk to other countries, have bilateral series's resumed and build an image of a secure and safe country.
3. Then comes the need of addressing the current realities...
1] Stop living in past glories.
2] When one new guy comes in to the team and scores a fifty, stop comparing him against Lara, Tendulkar
Kohli etc. This is the biggest problem players are facing..Ahmed Shehzad's comparison against Kohli
killed him due to the enormous pressure mounted on.
3] Players should stop behaving like school kids and Bangladeshi cricketers. Train them to show maturity
on field and express confidence.
4] Have a clean selection panel who picks and give chance to the in form players ..not the hyped ones.
5] Since Pakistan is lacking quality domestic leagues, send them to England and Australian leagues.
By simply taking such simple measures, and igniting the famous Pakistani fighting spirit and passion, Pakistan can easily come out of this situation and regain the old glory which people like me across the border always enjoyed.
As a true cricket lover, I need that dynamic, unpredictable and classy Pakistani fighting Spirit Back.
