Absurd selections in National T20 Cup 2020

While the new format has to be commended for the interest it has brought within the Pakistan cricket fans, yet there are some certain question marks on the selections. Northern is the only team that has the balance of selecting youngsters as well as experience and there is a reason they are at the top of the table.

First of all the whole XI of Balochistan is a question mark. Out of the top 6, 5 batsmen are actually openers. Imran Butt who is a seasoned first class player should not be in the first XI teams. Much more, Imran Farhat at No. 6 does not make sense. Their bowling selection is a bit better but 2 leg spinners also is a dogdy selection.

Next comes Sindh. I do not belong from Sindh but I have always been astonished by the fact that the same players have been playing for them in their first Xi team. Khurram Manzoor's time is up. Why did they drop Saud? What is Asad Shafiq doing in the team? Why isn't Hasan Mohsin in the first XI. Why isn't any good player coming from Sindh and Karachi like they used to do?

Now comes Central Punjab. How can Saad Nasim be the captain when he does not even deserve to be in the team.

Also I believe Central Punjab could have chosen better bowlers. Qasim Akram should be given more opportunities up the order.

In KP team, somehow they should play Haris. I do not know how they ended up selecting all the left arm fast bowlers!!

In South Punjab team, they are good up the order but they could fit in better players down the order. I believe there is better talent in South Punjab too for lower order batting and bowling.

Saud Shakil, Said Badar benched, when they could both have been MVP’s for Sindh and Southern Punjab moving forward in the tournament.

This is the problem Imran khan was saying the cream will rise to the top but only if merit based selections are made

When you pick undeserving players no good will come no matter how many few teams are playing

Saud is the best young middle-order batsman in Pakistan. He should be an automatic selection for every domestic match. He got a good delivery in the first match, but he looked in great touch.

I have not seen Saif Badar bat, but yeah he should play over Imran Butt and Farhat.

Sahibzada Farhan scored 60-odd opening in the first match, but did not bat in the second game for KP!

Also how can someone like Shoaibullah be in the playing XI of any team and a guy like Dilbar hussain not even be in a first team.

Saad Nasim is a pathetic player. There's no way someone like him could play for a domestic team without parchi. He's an obvious parchi.
