The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has granted the Afghanistan Cricket Board the hosting rights for the DP World Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025, to be held in the United Arab Emirates from December 12 to 21, 2025.

The tournament has long been one of the ACC’s most significant developmental pillars, serving as the premier platform where Asia’s brightest young talents first compete at a high-performance, international level.

This marks a historic milestone for the Afghanistan Cricket Board, reaffirming its emergence as a leading cricketing nation in Asia and its unwavering commitment to the growth of the sport. Hosting this prestigious youth tournament stands as a testament to Afghanistan’s organisational ability, its growing talent pool, and its continued contribution to global cricket.

Speaking on the announcement, ACC President Mr Mohsin Naqvi said: “The ACC is delighted to partner with the Afghanistan Cricket Board for the DP World Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025. This tournament plays a vital role in shaping Asia’s next generation of cricketers, and we are confident that ACB will deliver an exceptional event that celebrates excellence, unity, and the future of Asian cricket.”

ACB Chairman Mr Mirwais Ashraf added: “This is a proud and historic moment for Afghanistan Cricket. Securing the hosting rights for the DP World Men’s U19 Asia Cup is not only a recognition of ACB’s growing stature within Asian cricket but also a reflection of our strong commitment to ensuring the future of cricket in Afghanistan. We are nurturing a new generation of players whose talent continues to make a mark on global cricket. Hosting this event in the UAE will enable us to provide world-class facilities, international exposure, and an unforgettable experience for all participants.”

Tournament Overview: The DP World Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 will feature Asia’s top youth cricketers, divided playing in two groups. The top two teams from each group advance to the semifinals, and the winners of the two semifinalists will play in the final for the championship. All matches will be hosted across two premier Dubai venues: ICC Academy Oval and Sevens Stadium.

They don't want to shake hands but want to play Pakistan in every ICC/ACC event just for money. :yk

Very shameless.

Hypocrites..
I love when perpetrators tell victims how to boycott or what to do.

Next thieves will be telling the victims what charges to lay or call them hypocrites. Imagine a theiving servant saying - you fired me from my job but didn't complain to police, you are a hypocrite

Good to see Suryavanshi

As an indian, once we get past the usual negative narrative and the usual we are the victims - rinse repeat on loop... from the serial whinging bandwagon as above :afridi

I hope Kishan singh recovers from his injuries and makes it into the main squad.
Dude is a rare L H pace bowler, good run up smooth action and decent pace. His follow through is pathetic though- something that might come thru with decent coaching. young lad - has potential to be an all format player if handled properly and shows the hunger/desire
Tournament will be good to see all the young guys of Asia, the future stars...

They have turned cricket into a ghetto farce.

I am not aware of any other major sport where groups are fixed like this.
so you have a choice - start researching other sports you might enjoy and let others enjoy the sport they enjoy

Moshin Naqvi is the head of ACC. What is stopping him in putting Ind & Pak in separate groups? What stopped him in kicking India out of CT2025 and hosted the entire event in Pakistan?

India don't need money from Asia cup. BCCI earns more money in one edition of IPL than all Asia cups combined. They still continue to play Pakistan in these competitions because it generates money which helps smaller boards under ACC umbrella.

The only reason competitions like Asia cup exists because India and Pakistan plays against each other in it. No broadcaster will pay any money to see 11 Bengalis playing cricket. #Aukat

You guys need to understand one thing, Indian players sell cricket. I mean there is a tri series going on now between Pak, Zimb or SL. No one is broadcasting it in UK. Asia cup on the other hand gets prime time slot in expensive TNT Sports. Take India out of it or Ind v Pak game, TNT Sport will not pay a dime.

It is easy to bark in forums with silly emojis but reality is different.

With the giant caveat that these are young men who are still developing, I think the following lads have promise:

Ali Hassan Baloch, a LHB who bats at 3, has a 97 s/r in List A U19 and scored 603 runs in 8 games @ 75 incl 33 sixes
Farhan Yousuf, a RHB who bats at 5 and has a 113 s/r in List A U19 and scored 369 runs in 6 games @ 61.5 incl 14 sixes

Usman Khan, a LHB who opens and has a 105 s/r in List A U19 and scored 429 runs in 7 games @ 85.8 incl 15 sixes

Honourable mention for Abdul Qadir, a RHB keeper who plays at 5/6 and has a 135(!) s/r in List A U19 and scored 321 runs in 7 games @ 64 incl 16 sixes. He's aged out for this tournament, sadly

Now, I'm sure we'll get the same remarks about the standard of domestic cricket, but U19 cricket is a great way to spotlight talent that can be harnessed. I specifically remember Saim and Maaz doing really well in these same domestic tournaments.

InshAllah really hopeful about Baloch (who's highly rated by all age group coaches) and Farhan Yousuf to develop into impatcful batsmen.

When are PAK u19 announcing the team hoping mohammed hufaiza and momin qamar willbe in it

Suryavanshi should not be playing these kid tournamnets. He already smashed big name players on bigger stages.

Ayush Mhatre and Vihaan Malhotra are the players to watch I feel.

Emerging Stars Asia Cup
U-19 Asia Cup

Too many Asia Cups too quickly. :inti

They should get rid of the Emerging Stars Asia Cup. It is pointless.

ACC is giving Minnow Bangladesh chance to win ACC trophy because your main team is not good enough to win the tournament. :kp

Now, this right here should be our favorite tournament. Looks like we are defending champions back to back :kp

Indo-Pak game will be a must-watch but Pakistan would really like to beat Bangladesh as well if they meet later one. Last time They defeated Pakistan in semis

Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by three wickets.Afghanistan U19 283/7 ,Bangladesh U19 284/7.Quite a few Afghan players didn’t look they are U19.This is my impression.I have no proof so I am not accusing anyone of cheating.

Surprising SL Has never won this much like men's Asia cup. Pakistan has won once albeit a shared one with India. How the heck Pakistan rolled over 63 runs against Afghanistan in a final that too in 2017.

Match Report – SL U19 vs IND U19, 1st Semi-Final, Asia Cup 2025

India Under-19s stormed into the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025/26 with a commanding 8-wicket victory over Sri Lanka Under-19s at ICC Academy, Dubai on December 19.

Sri Lanka, batting first after India won the toss and opted to field, posted 138/8 in 20 overs. Their innings was anchored by Chamika Heenatigala (42 off 38) and skipper Vimath Dinsara (32 off 29), while Sethmika Seneviratne’s brisk 30 off 22 added late momentum. However, regular wickets prevented them from building a substantial total. India’s bowlers kept control, with Henil Patel (2/31) and Kanishk Chouhan (2/36) striking crucial blows, supported by Kishan Singh and Khilan Patel.

Chasing 139, India lost both openers early to Rasith Nimsara (2/31), slipping to 25/2. But the match turned decisively with a superb unbroken 114-run partnership between Aaron George (58* off 49) and Vihaan Malhotra (61* off 45). Malhotra’s fluent stroke play, including two sixes, and George’s steady support ensured India crossed the target in just 18 overs, finishing at 139/2 with 12 balls to spare.

So final is between India & Pakistan.

India's top 2 - Mhatre & Sooryavanshi shouldn't throw their wickets away in the final.
