Farhan Yousaf, who featured in last year’s ACC U19 Asia Cup, will lead Pakistan U19 in the upcoming edition of the tournament, scheduled to take place in Dubai from 12 to 21 December. The 50-over event will feature eight teams.

Pakistan, who were beaten by Bangladesh in last year’s semi-final, are placed in Group ‘A’ alongside India, Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 3. Group ‘B’ comprises Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Qualifier 2 and Sri Lanka.

The eight-team tournament will provide Pakistan side with preparations ahead of the ICC U19 World Cup, which is set to be co-hosted by Zimbabwe and Namibia from 15 January to 6 February 2026.

Pakistan will open their campaign on Friday, 12 December against Qualifier 3 at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai. Their second group match is against India on Sunday, 14 December at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, while their final group fixture is against Qualifier 1 on Tuesday, 16 December at the same venue.

The semi-finals will be played on 19 December at The Sevens Stadium and ICC Academy Ground, while the final will take place on Sunday, 21 December.

18-year-old Farhan recently led Lahore Region Whites in the National Men’s U19 Cup, scoring 369 runs from seven matches, including a century and two half-centuries. Usman Khan, who scored a century in the last edition of the ACC U19 Asia Cup, will be Farhan’s deputy in the event.

Playing for FATA in the National Men’s U19 Cup, left-handed Usman scored 429 runs from seven matches, which included two centuries and a half-century.

Pakistan team will undergo a camp in Karachi from later today until the team’s departure for Dubai, which will be confirmed in due course.

What out for Niqab Shafiq SLA and Ali Hasan Baloch as they were the outstanding players from the U19 tournament , except for Hamza Zuhoor and Danial Ali khan there are no parchi players.

Watched some Ali Hasan batting videos and just one word this guy is a left handed Rohit Sharma , just too much time while playing the shot and extremely tight and fast hands , very powerful striker with text book batting technique.

This guy is already a celebrity at U19 levels and is famous in the circuit as the next best thing.

Has got some cocky attitude where he openly said that he don’t rate any pak players at the moment but likes Kohli, Jadeja and Shakib Al Hasan.

Him and Suryavanshi are the players to look out for in the next U19 worldcup and I can easily say that both are equal in terms of talent.

Squad looking good on paper... Waiting for that India Game though

Huzaifa Ahsan and Ahmed Hussain are genuine pace all rounders and Huzaifa while captaining Karachi U16 side won them the title and was the 3rd highest run scorer and 4th highest wicket taker and even in the U19 league he was the 7th highest scorer averaging 58 with the bat and picked 9 wickets @ 22

We didn’t have any good pacers in the U19 league this season and no pacers in the top 7 highest wicket taker and the highest wicket taking pacers were Umer Zeb , Abdul Subhan and Muhammad Sayyam and two of them already played last year in U19 Asia cup and Muhammad Sayyam is a left arm pacer with a bit of pace and is tall , Umer Zeb is wayward and hence didn’t get the selection, we literally had no option but to recall Ali Raza to strengthen our pace unit.
Ali Raza again?

It was appalling to see final match of U19 league where the all 5 pacers of both team operating around 125-130k mark

Credit to Sarfraz Ahmed for picking the performing players because in the past only 5/6 players used to get selected from the top 10 performing batters and bowlers in U19 leagues and all mid table average performers were getting selected based on higher ceiling and no significant performance yet but more potential criteria.

Good to see Sarfraz sort that non performers but higher ceiling BS criteria this time.

I am 100% sure thats not the same Ali Raza

Good to see Mohammad Huzaifa, He looks carbon copy of Kuldeep Yadav

Mohammad Huzaifa bowls like Kuldeep.
Ali Raza is a world class talent.

Pakistan U19 target strong start as ACC Asia Cup begins on Friday

Dubai, 11 December 2025: Pakistan U19 are all set for the ACC U19 Asia Cup challenge when they play their opening match of the tournament against Malaysia on Friday, 12 December, at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai. Pakistan, who are placed in Group ‘A’ of the eight-team 50-over tournament, will take on India in their second group match on Sunday, 14 December, while their final group match will be against the UAE on Tuesday, 16 December.

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka are part of Group ‘B’.

Top two sides from each group will qualify for the semi-finals, which will be staged on Friday, 19 December, and the final will take place on Sunday, 21 December.

All 15 matches will begin at 9am local time, with The Sevens Stadium hosting seven matches and the ICC Academy Ground staging eight matches, including the final.

Among the 15-member squad, which will be led by Farhan Yousaf, six players featured in last year’s ACC U19 Asia Cup held in the UAE, where Pakistan lost to Bangladesh in the semi-final. Besides Farhan, Abdul Subhan, Ahmed Hussain, Ali Raza, Mohammad Huzaifa and Usman Khan were part of the previous event.

Left-handed Usman, who is also the vice-captain of the side, scored 101 runs from three matches in last year’s event, including a half-century. Right-arm fast bowler Abdul Subhan was Pakistan’s most successful bowler in the last edition, taking nine wickets from three matches, with six for 57 his best figures. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Huzaifa, who featured in only one match in last year’s Asia Cup, took five wickets for just eight runs.

Talking to PCB Digital at the conclusion of first training session in Dubai, head coach Shahid Anwar said:

“We have worked extensively on players’ technical, tactical, mental and physical aspects of the game. The coaching staff have made sure every area was covered.

“During the seven-day camp in Karachi, we placed special emphasis on fielding because the ball tends to drift in the air. We worked on anticipation and reaction. Together, we focused on adapting to the conditions in both fielding and overall skills.

“The facilities here in Dubai have been excellent. The windy conditions have again required us to pay special attention to fielding and bowling, specifically how bowlers should run in against the wind, what angles to use and how to maintain momentum.

“I believe these players have two outstanding qualities – they do not give up and they adapt quickly. The tournament is highly competitive and all teams are well prepared. You enjoy it more when the event is organised at a high level, like the Asia Cup or the World Cup. It is definitely a challenge, but the players are ready to face different situations.”

Well that explains about Ali Raza he is the same as last one

I was watched a bit of the unveiling of U19 Asia cup trophy and press conference on YouTube. The captains of all the teams were on the stage answering questions from the media .The captain of Afghan team doesn’t look like he is under 19.I am not saying he is not under 19.This is my impression. All other captains looked like they are under 19.

Yes so did i he looked huge but afgans are generally well built

Pakistan to play 1st game today.... Gotta go with the possible playing 11 that is going to play against India

Ali Raza is jumping out a little less and action looks a little smother. Danyal Khan is way over age, looks around 23.

I know it was only Malaysia, but Ali Raza looks bigger, taller (if that’s possible?) and definitely quicker.

Too quick for Malaysian u19s, Ali Raza should be playing for the senior or Shaheens team

Let's see how he does against Indias superstar.

He is filled up now a bit and also seems to grow couple of inches taller since PSL which is wierd but amazing.

So it’s very likely for him to hit 150k in the U19 World Cup, hopefully there will be speed guns there.

Yes it was pretty evident that he has grown taller.

Ali was impressive as he was in past... India game will be an important one for these guys... really need to bring A-game

Farhan Yousaf's half-century comes up vs Afghanistan U-19 in the ongoing Zimbabwe ODI Tri-Nation series.

Goodish recovery so far. RRR is very much manageable just need to not go into their shells.
