After getting beaten by Australia in their last match, Pakistan had to face Afghanistan in their next encounter at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. This is the Match 22 of the ICC Cricket World Cup, 2023. Iftikhar got the momentum in the last few overs and took Pakistan to a respectable total of 282.

If you guys get the Gurbaz guy early, bowl to one side of the field and get some dots in, the others will self implode. i can't see Afg playing a waiting game and pouncing on oppurtunities, they'd rather go hard at the very start in the first pp

After a long time Pakistan had their batting order right today. It was a good move to send in Shadab ahead of Iftikhar as he would had played a lot more dot balls early on in his innings. Shadab played a sensible inning along with Babar providing the platform for later big hitting rather than the usual collapse for 30 or 50 runs.

Actually if Pak is aggressive, they can even increase their nrr. Afg only have a chance if Gurbaz fires. Or else they will just fall in a heap to around 200..

Get Gurbaz out early and that should be game over otherwise he can single handedly win this for Afghanistan.

Abdullah with start, Babar building the base and then the decision of switching Shadab and Iftikhar's positions to give them both better entry points were the key. Hopefully can get some early wickets through Shaheen today.

Afghanistan will have advantage of Pace provided by Pakistan fast bowlers, so expect to see many edges flowing for runs, but hopefully it may account for wickets also if Rauf can keep his head. Also hope Usama and Shadab to bowl a bit tighter than they have so far,but with suttle variations in bowling speed

Afg should stop picking pace bowlers as they are all useless. Just bowl 50 overs of spin - dont think they will do as bad as pacers. Minnow teams cant play traditional cricket and win - they have to be different and be creative. All spin 50 overs would be different .

Shaheen should be lethal with the new ball but it just depends on which side of the bed he wakes up on. If it's the right side then he's picking up 2-3 early wickets every time.

If it's the wrong side then he can't even bowl one side of the wicket.
