He was absolute unplayable in that 2010 series with ball on inviting length for driving, and in his return game in Asia Cup 2016, bamboozled Indian top order with pitched-up swing. More than cowardice, I would say bad coaching (instruction) and flawed tactics by Captain/Coach - they are trying to damage control in Power Play with him, instead of striking.

He has a different action to the one in 2010 now as well, also seems a bit too square, there seems to be little torque from the hips, seemed more slingy in the past. But having said that good instructions ought to get you some of what you had but Amir is also to blame, I don't think he has the heart for this sport anymore and he should be smart enough to recognise his weaknesses and work on them with the right people if he is not getting the best advise in the team
