Cricket shouldn't be played in UAE, for haven's sake. Apart from dodgy acts, those wickets are curse for cricket.
Having said that, considering the hype around AFG team, I was expecting better show. They in fact lost to IRL in UAE from 1-0 lead and winning the 3rd toss. If ZIM new ball pacers expose their top order like this in UAE, that WC qualifier isn't going to be easy for AFG boys in ZIM with WI, IRL & Scotland also in equation.
The pitch is really good. Its just AFG have succumbed under the scoreboard pressure.

Quite a coincidence - AFGs also posted 333/5 in first game, batting first. Now, they have the chance to better 179 of ZIM.
What weird coincidence.
First ODI Afghanistan 333/5 and Zim 179 all out.
Rashid Legspinner 4 wickets.
Chatara bowling 3 noballs in the 46th over.
Second ODI Zimbabwe 333/5 and Afghanistan 179 all out.
Cremer legspinner 4 wickets.
Gulbodin bowling 3 noballs in the 46th over.
It can't be twice similar pattern - last game also the side batting first enjoyed batting and won by 150. It indicates a dead slow track, where ball stops coming on to bat with duration & ball getting softer - worst type of wicket for cricket.
IRL-AFG series was also similar, apart from IRL winning the decider chasing. T20 is short duration, therefore it doesn't impact that much, still last T20 ZIM finished 140/5, which indicates that there is absolutely nothing for batsmen or bowler - just dead slow, low wicket which is good for grafters & darters.
Nope it was just scoreboard pressure getting both of the teams. Did you see how the tailenders batted?

ZIM batsmen had absolutely to defense against AFG spinners on those sluggish UAE tracks, but surprisingly IRL batsmen managed well. It’ll be a closely contested WC qualifier in ZIM.
Do you think these Rahsid and mujeeb sort of spinner will perform in ZIM or i mean outside UAE.
They are looking better team than bangladesh in UAE going by tri nation series recently.
I haven't seen them enough, may be I'll watch some of the qualifiers. On spinning condition, their attack is good and they did won one ODI at Mirpur. However, you can't judge a team from performance against other team (s). ZIM has won 4 out of last 7 ODI against SRL and all of them in Asia, 3 in SRL - and they have lost last 7/8 against us, almost always it was not even a contest - you can't equate it like this.
We are going though a major changeover in terms of team management, captaincy and Hathura knows this team better then anyone else, hence we had been out classed by SRL, but that doesn't mean suddenly boys have forgot playing. Once they fix off field issues, there will be a turn around. I think, there is a AFG-BD series coming - I am also waiting for that to see where we stand.
I was just taking your opinion first,i do not see them succeeding against ZIm in ZIm or in any place out of the UAE.atleast it will not be 4-1.it will be 3-2 to zim or at best 3-2 to afghanistan.they have been absolutely murdered by UAE wickets.
Their attack is more balanced and their batting is more calculated i think but not against spin.
Rashid Khan took 18 wickets at economy of 5.65 in BBL - Australia
Rashid Khan took 14 wickets at economy of 5.82 in CPL - Caribbean.
So I am sure he will do well in Zimbabwe as well.
More doubts about Mujeeb Zadran.
Nabi is also almost always good.
However Afghanistan cannot afford to go with 4 spinners like today. They must play at least 2 genuine fast bowlers.
Yes noone say Rashid is not good but with 4 spinners going less than 3 per over taking 8 or 9 wickets will not happen and that will be deciding factor.i always like teams who are well balanced but this Afghan team is just one dimensional so far.
balance doe not mean that everyone is world beater but they have more areas covered.
weird series. They are exchanging one-sided wins.
