Like batting, Umpiring against spin has gone to drains. By cricket logic, on a turning wicket Off-spinner can't & shouldn't get LBW against right handers, unless batsman is shoulder arming or bowler is bowling round the wicket.

If it's to be an LBW, ball has to strike within sticks - almost every time, that ball will miss leg. If it has to turn & hit the sticks, ball has to be wide enough and impact will be outside line.

Inzi, Mickey and Sarfraz should be grilled on why there were no SPECIALIST spinners chosen. Shadab and the hopeless Nawaz are support spinners at best. I would never bank on them to deliver 10 overs is LOI cricket. Maximum I would get 5 overs each from Shadab and Nawaz. It's frickin UAE for fgs! Asghar, Zafar, Yasir, or Ibtisam would have been perfect for these conditions.

Even if they blundered with the initial selection, why not fly over replacements? The flight distance between Pakistan and UAE is like 2-3 hours max. What is Shaan Masood doing in the team?
