weren't the british and australian armed forces killing innocent afghans during the Afghan occupation? they killed children and women and called it a collateral damage. the west has consensus now that afghan occupation was a mistake

rashid khan's tweet and stance is respected. however, it shows inconsistency. he should have stopped playing with australia and england too when afghan women and children were being murdered by invading/occupying forces

i cannot say what's in RK's heart. but i know this much...his approach to the Afghan victims is inconsistent.

The term 'cricketer' is what reekes of Indian influence in the entire matter to give it a global spi . So if Taliban take a bat and ball and swing it under the mountain - will they be classified as cricketers?

What qualifies as someone to be a cricketer?

Neither Afghans nor Afghani Taliban have declared TTP to be terrorist. How can then they even blame Pakistan then for retaliation?

Afghan taliban have been killing civilians in Pakistan for decades. It is about time Pakistan took some action.

I condemn the loss of innocent lives. May Allah make it easy for everyone.
 
If it's confirmed that Afghan civilians have been killed, that's shameful and regrettable. We should avoid the Israeli template of mass aerial bombardment, and precisely strike TTP terrorists holed out in Afghanistan under the protection of their Govt.

ACB were probably looking to cancel this tri-series anyway and this strike has given them excuse to do so.

What's not regrettable or shameful is Pakistan sending a message that attacks on Pakistanis originating from Afghan soil will come at a price to Afghanistan.

I hope Pakistan steps up security for this series vs South Africa as these Taliban savages might consider cricketers as fair game for retaliation.

India only has ICC as leverage. On every sphere on the world stage they are no hopers.

So they will play their only card time and time again.

I am not against PCB hosting the tri series or any match. However, it is very disrespectful to announce the replacement team and the schedule on a day when entire world is mourning the death of cricketers. Moshin Naqvi has now taken panga not only with BCCI by stealing Asia cup trophy but also with ICC today. PCB need some sane people like Ramiz Raja or Najam Sethi leading it again. Naqvi may get Pak cricket banned soon....just wait for Nov meeting.

We have no problem with cricket or cricketers.

If they don’t want to play, that’s their choice. If Zimbabwe want to fill in…that’s their choice.

If Indians want to cry as always, that’s their choice too.

India used the Asia cup to score their political points by embarrassing Pakistan both on and off the field.

The situation is different for teams like SL. They were themselves victim of terror attacks once in Pakistan. So one would think they will show solidarity with dead Afghan cricketers and pull out of this tournament.

I have taken 15 mins of my precious time and highlighted the humiliations in 12 points. Thats why I said, Asia cup 2025 was humiliation for Pak both on and off the field. Kudos to India for pulling it off.

However, Lankans are not capable of such feats. So they should just boycott this tournament keeping sensitivies of Afghan cricketers that are killed by Pak army. After all, SL team themselve faced similar bullets in that country. So they can comprehend the situation well.

Just to reiterate: I have no issues with the Khawarijis getting taken out who actually are terrorists aka the TTP or any TT associates. No issues with that whatsoever. They are scum and our duty when they are terrorizing Muslims let alone the rest of the world is to put them down.

But innocent bystanders, cricketers, people running food stalls etc- no, I can’t standby and celebrate that. I maintained the same stance in May and didn’t want innocent Indian citizens dying either regardless of faith. That’s not what Islam preaches.

I am saddened by the news of death of the 3 cricketers who were most likely not khawarij or members of tlp etc and similarly for any innocent life that lost his/her life in the incident.

Meanwhile Rashid Khan is still playing in BBL despite Aus Cricket wanting nothing to do with Afg cricket. Tells you how selective he is for respect of his country.
