Afghanistan's bottom order can fight back, why can’t ours?

Afghanistan were 160-7 and posted 255 to give their bowlers something to defend. Where our bottom order just played stupid shots, showed no fights and threw away all the wickets.

Yes the opposition is different but we are a better team than Afghanistan so that’s no excuse.

Why do we not have the same fight? What is the difference?

Our players too complacent?? Do they not have the same will power or are they just not good enough?

Afghani Bottom order can fight back

I’m not sure what to make out of this statement

I did mention the opposition is different but our team is better than Afghanistan.

Pakistan are number 5 and India are 3 positions higher.

Afghanistan are 3 positions below Bangladesh so surely your point is invalid.

What I’m saying why did our team not show the same grift and fight.

While true, Faheem and Amir were playing well and then lost their heads as soon the powerplay came about. Even 30-40 more runs from that position could have been huge

And what a fightback it was by Rashid and Naib! Loved every single moment of it. Highlight of the tournament so far for me, followed by Mushfiqur´s scintillating century against Sri Lanka and Rohit´s lovely stroke-play yesterday against Pakistan. Just so love the Afghan spirit, a spirit which is so well epitomised by Rashid Khan, the man who can literally do any job in cricket.

Afghanistan will win this game for sure. They´ve just got their second wicket, but I began typing this post when they hadn´t yet taken the wicket. Either way, I said it at home that they´ll win it once they crossed the 230 mark. They had momentum with them of course.
