After recent performances of Umar Amin and Sami Aslam, do they deserve to make a comeback?

On winning of a ICC trophy, the team morale is high. Why we cant just try out our domestic players. This can help boost confidence in domestic. Youngsters would look upon performing in circuit to get a chance.
Our next series is against SL and Zim, like India we can also throw in some domestic performers. Umar Amin has performed in domestic circuit. Plus he can roll his arm over. He is probably one of the fittest players in pakistan with cricketing sense (i watched him play in recent domestic 50-over cup). Sami Aslam also performed. Usman Salahuddun has performed but his strike rate is low. Fawad Alam can also be tried in test cricket as he needs some international cricket.

dont need too much changes. remeber haris did not get a chance in CT. but they can b braught in for shoib and shazad.
in playing 11 there is curently only one place. shoib needs to go but haris is there first. and you might also get sharjeel eligible to play again.
taugh days for selection as both SL and Zim are weak teams any one gets slected will get runs against them. so selector must show some guts and future planning.

Sami Aslam:He should be selected for the test team of Pakistan but not the ODI side.

Umar Amin:Needs to be in ODI side first and later can be included in test team.

Aslam only for test and Amin only as a substitute fielder, the 12th man since he is probably the best out fielder in Pak along with Malik at the moment and beside that he is ordinary so no need to pick him up in the playing 11.

Aslam is just a must in the test squad, although I don't think he'll be in the eleven over Fakhar and Azhar

And Aslam's list A is record is too good to ignore. I think he can be a contributor in ODIs too

I'm indifferent on Umar Amin. I'd rather have Harris Sohail in ODIs if he's fit (which he isn't). And I prefer Fawad in tests

Umar Amin should have been part of the squad ahead of Haris Sohail, however I'm happy that both these players are in the training camp under the supervision of coaching staff.

Sami Aslam had a tremendous Pakistan Cup like Amin, however I'm still not convinced about his range of shots for limited overs. Having said that it was a ridiculous decision to drop him from test team, he should walk back into the test team now first.

We need to find our core players and give them enough time before the world cup. Remember the number of debutants we had in previous world cup it was a sign of poor management and panic from selectors. We dont want the same situation arising again and should give couple of new middle order batsmen enough international experience before world cup as I strongly believe Hafeez and Malik are liabilities from now onwards until they go.

The new players can be a combination of batsmen, allrounders and bowlers. we need to try out new youngsters and get them match practice. People like Ahmad Shahzad, Hafeez, malik, amir, baber azam.

From the world cup 15 squad, we should have at least 4- 5 new players, so we can rest some players. The new players can be a combination of batsmen, allrounders and bowlers. we need to try out new youngsters and get them match practice. People like Ahmad Shahzad, Hafeez, malik, amir, baber azam.

We have breathing space to do that now. Just need Sharjeel back and a fast bowling AR.

It's difficult to start making decisions based on a 5 match tournament where Hafeez is still the highest run getting.

I always see these posts after 4-5 matches with little to no statistical backing. Always sounds like to me the posters have an agenda.

Umar Amin is a guy who averaged 12 in Test matches and 19 in ODI's with quite a lot matches under his belt.

His domestic record is absolutely abysmal. You've seen 2-3 matches, and now he should get called up?

Poor Amin is one of those guys who is strong domestically but somehow allways fail in international cricket. Looks classy for a short while but then finds strange ways of getting out. The preassure will allways be on him. I really want him to succeed though, is a genuine hard worker.

Sami, well should never have been dropped from the Test side in first place, Inzi bhai will be forced to bring him back.

Shan masood didn't inspire even in WI so Sami Aslam can replace him and after Misbah and Younis we have a slot in middle too so Umar Amin can also find a place in the squad.

Can't see our LOI squad changing much in the future but yeah Umar Amin does deserve to be in the squad at least.

Although for Tests Sami Aslam should definitely be in the squad even if he is not going to play he can be a backup option. Although I feel with Azhar confirmed as one of the openers since he has done a fine job we should look to get someone more aggressive in the opening slot like Fakhar along with him who has done very well in the FC circuit.
